All of us as we grew up have read the legends of the ancient Kings, Queens, Knights, Maidens, and of course their soothsayers. They were called many names in the ancient texts; Wizard, Sorcerer, Magician, Conjuror, Mystic. Some ancient texts even suggest that they had control of the mystical dragon and wyvern. It was even suggested they derived their magical powers from these creatures. These men and women worked their Magick in many ways sometimes for good, sometimes for evil purposes.

These people possessed knowledge unobtainable to the simplistic farmer or king. Some say that Merlin was the strongest being a prophet, healer, magician and advisor to the most legendary King of all time Arthur.

It was said that Merlin could manipulate time and matter with the help of a stone called "The Dragon's Heart" which was set into his Walking Staff. Merlin's powers expanded from just that of prophecy, to include powers of disguise, mesmerizement,

magical transport, the making of potions, magical artifacts, alchemy, and many other disciplines. It was he, only he that could control the Staff; being fathered by either a demon or angel and mortal mother. It was written that it was the source of his power.

Normally at a young age some people showed some sort of mystical ability that brought them to the attention of a Master Sorcerer. In Merlin's case he sought out the Master.

Merlin's Master was Bleis a Master of Magicks that lived in Nortumberland. There is not much that is known of him in either written or spoken word.

It is written that the apprentice depending on their abilities would spend considerable time learning from their mentors. They would construct their Grimoire or Book of Shadows for their rituals, magical skills and magical spells. They would delve deeper into their Second Sight of Prophecy. Gain knowledge in the use of herbs to heal and sometimes kill. Merlin's thirst for knowledge was great; learning all he could from Bleis he became a Master and left on his own. It is believed that Bleis spun the tales and chronicled the exploits of Merlin.

It is believed in his journeys, that Merlin had enchanted a very powerful magical Dragon. Merlin captured its mystical soul within a gemstone. It amplified his mystical powers and was fastened to a Walking Staff. The Staff was called Draclyon believed to be the human name of the Dragon.

As Merlin progressed in age and skills he took on an apprentice named Nimue. Nimue it is chronicled, was also called "The Lady of the Lake". She was the one that gave the enchanted sword called Excalibur to Arthur to unite England. She despised Merlin! In our terminology he was the typical "Dirty Old Man". She was a maiden and a teenager; Merlin was in his Sixties. She would eventually imprison Merlin until the end of time. Her power of Magick became even stronger then Merlin. Her concern was, he was legended to be immortal and associated with demons. She was deeply afraid of him and for all mankind.

According to one of the legends Nimue lured him to a wooded area later called "Merlin's Wood" and imprisoned him in a cavern or crystal tower. Some say they can still hear his moans of imprisonment.

It was written if the "Sorcerers Stone" was found so would the power of Merlin. It was the entrance to his lair. The lair was supposed to contain wealth, riches, supernatural powers, and the Dragon's Staff. It was also under a protected Magick Spell that Nimue had woven for eternity, to bring immediate violent death to the finder of the lair. The Goddess reworked the spell as life was precious. How the spell had been reworked was unknown.

My name is or was Ted Polanski, a widower and have achieved the age of 65 years old. I am also the Director of Medieval Archeological studies for The Preston Foundation. Our purpose is to dispel or acknowledge the myths surrounding the times of Medieval History through the study of various documented means.

Several months ago Miriam Smyth, a Historical Researcher and linguist found something of interest. Miriam is quite intelligent, 5'9", 140lbs. and well proportioned. She is also my best friend and assistant.

She was researching a parchment that had been excavated near the old Roman Sites in Bath, England. For some unknown reason the parchment was in excellent condition considering its age. It was written in ancient Celtic Druidic symbols. It was brought to my attention when Miriam noticed a symbol she had never seen before.

"I've checked all of the reference texts and consulted the Data Base. The only reference symbol that comes close to this symbol makes refers to a Myrddin. Which could mean Merlin the Master. This symbol refers to his Walking Staff and this to a Dragon Heart."

"Miriam, Where did we get the parchment from and has it been Carbon Dated?"

"Ted, It came from our Dig at Bath it dates between 400-550AD which places it in the right time frame. At the Dig, Julie authenticated it and the Location Site where it came from."

"Is there any possibility it may be a forgery?"

"None at all. There are dies from plants, that were used that have been extinct for centuries. The parchment held up to chemical analysis also."

"Have Julie contact Professor Elizabeth Wilkins at Cambridge and Professor Jamison McPherson at Oxford. Tell them to meet us at the Dig Site in two days. Pack your bags for an extended stay we're going to Jolly Olde England. There's a flight leaving for England in six hours."

Miriam and I relaxed comfortably in the first class section of the passenger airliner. Per our agreement we never once mentioned the Dig or our work. You never knew who might be listening in on our conversation.

Thank all the Gods and Goddesses, that it was the summer season with higher than moderate temperatures. I tolerate the insects more than the cold of winter. We had worn khaki safari jackets, khaki shorts, hiking boots with calve length white socks. Sorry no Pith helmets just baseball caps. We had our own Khaki Convention! Shades of Indy Jones! Our Hero!

When we deplaned and finished Customs Liz, Jamie, and Julie were waiting for us along with a man I didn't recognize. Academic types are normally stodgy. They are very heavy with formality especially with their given names, not Liz or Jamie. They are both very down to earth and are very well respected in their fields.

Liz a SocioCultural-Anthropologist is 5'1", 90lbs., in her late thirties and single. She is a specialist in Druidic or Celtic Culture and Customs. Although I am not supposed to know. I know she is a Druidic Priestess that follows the old ways and customs. Even these days she has to be careful in her practicing a religion that few people understand. She has been Blessed by the Goddess, Blessed Be!

Jamie a Physical-Anthropologist is a Scotsman from Edinburgh with a proud and fierce family heritage. He is 5'8" with a slight build. He is in his early thirties, widowed with four children. You did not want to go drinking with him. He could drink you under the table!

Jules my son and oldest child is an Archeologist following in my footsteps. Julie as he was called by family is my pride and joy, but so are his sisters. He and his three sisters resemble my late wife more than I. Thank All Gods and The Goddess! All our children look identical in face and stature. Julie is in his late thirties 5'4" and 110lbs. with two girls and a boy. My grandchildren are here with him. His psycho wife deserted the family. She had a long history of psychiatric problems and must apologize for the term psycho being used. They don't know where she's at; but I do!

The last man was identified as Gerald Fitzpatrick. I have never met him but I knew the name from our Expedition Staff List. He is our Forensic Medical Doctor at the Dig. Gerry is in his early forties, 5'9", 165lbs, very distinguished looking with salt and pepper dark brown hair. Women would call him a hunk I think. Our people called him "That Bloody Irishman" or "Irish Buggerer" another name for a Proctologist with a Dildo.

As I looked at us I thought it was ironic we were all attired the same way. I thought to myself we looked like a commercial for Abercrombie and Fitch, the Expedition and Exploration Outfitters.

We were all silent in our little trip from Heathrow Airport to the Dig. All I thought of was this was a chance once and for all to prove that Merlin was not mythical. If Merlin was real so was King Arthur, the Knights, and the Table Round. Was Merlin's Lair authentic? Were the tales true in the existence of the Dragon's Heart? What about the existence of Excalibur the enchanted sword? Where were the chronicles of Merlin? In the Lair? Perhaps!

I made mental notes of my questions to seek the knowledge of Archeological Team at the Bath Dig. The first priority was to decipher the parchment as accurately as possible.

We arrived at the farmhouse that was our headquarters. This was not the typical English Farmhouse it contained more than 12 bedrooms. In reality it was more of an Estate. It was only located 2 miles from our digging site and the chamber where the parchment was found.

I could see my grandchildren playing outside watched by their Nanny. They seemed like happy children, despite the fact that of the psychological trauma of their mother leaving them perhaps forever. I loved them and my children. These are my only grandchildren so far even though Julie's sisters are all married.

The vehicle stopped at the house. As we got out the children ran to us at full speed. Michael is 10, Judy is 8, and Kerri the youngest is 7.

"Grandpa, Grandpa, oh it's so good to see you. Did you bring us anything?" Kerri said reaching for me.

"Of course I did. I brought something for each of you." I said hugging and kissing each of them.

"After I unpack and have a meeting you'll get your presents. Okay!" I said.

They all agreed and went back to their playing under the watchful eye of their Nanny.

We all went into the house. The housekeeper Mrs. Birdie Livingston came out of the kitchen with Tom her husband and handyman.

"Doctor Ted it's so good to see you again. It has been quite a spell since we saw you last. Tom, go get the bags and take them to the rooms."

"Birdie you haven't changed a bit since I last saw you and Tom. What's with this Doctor Ted stuff? I told you it's just Ted. Okay?"

"I'm sorry I've forgotten. Besides with all these foreigners I feel like I live abroad."

"Do you mean us?"

"Oh no! I'm talking about all them Scotsmen and Irishmen we have about. At least you speak the Queen's English somewhat. I can understand you perfectly. Them, they speak funny." Birdie said laughingly.

I gave Birdie a hug and a kiss on the cheek. I told her we would be in the Den and asked for coffee and tea to be brought around.

In the Den after everyone was settled I told them my thoughts that I had on the way to the Farmhouse.

"Liz, have you seen the parchment or had a chance to study it?"

"Jamie and I have both seen it. We decided it was to be Dated first in case of a forgery. Why waste the time and effort if it is a fake."

"That was a wise decision. Well you better hold on to your knickers old girl. The parchment is real. By chemical analysis and dating it was placed between 400-550AD. Where was it found?"

"It was found near the main chamber at sub-chamber number five, Dad."

"It was one of my Graduate Students that found it. She noticed several symbols that were inscribed into an altar. The symbols she thought, represented a door or gateway. I could not say anything positive to her. I called in Liz to read it." Jamie said.

"Both Jules and I studied the symbols. As we were studying them our student noticed an anomaly in the stone wall. It was brought to our attention. She had managed to remove the stone, inside the cavity was a trip lever. Due to the traps that were found in Egyptian Excavations, Jules sent everyone outside.

Jules called us on the radio calling us in quickly and to bring lighting. We entered the chamber. Jules was standing next to a door that had opened. A slanted hallway led to the new room, it was immense what we could see." Jamie said.

"we took some photographs and left posting a guard. I called the Bureau of Antiquities and asked for a specialist in traps. I told them about the new chamber. We had an SAS Team in chemical suits the next morning along with a B.A. rep." Jules said.

"I took air and spore samples after the area was deemed safe to enter. All samples were negative. Procedure was followed every step of the way. " Gerry said.

"The interior was a twenty foot circumference area made from stone. Floor, ceiling and floors. There was no water leakage or dampness present. That was very unusual considering the approximated depth of the room. We found only two symbols and that represented the Wiccan Goddess and Maiden. Off to the right of the Maiden's symbol we found another anomaly in the wall. This time we all stayed as Jules pulled out the stone." Liz said.

"Inside were four levers made of bronze. Each had a symbol of the Maiden, the Goddess, the Crone and the Divine Child. This totally confused us. The first three symbols I mentioned are Wiccan in origin the last is true Druid. Logic told me to go from birth to death. Then I thought that was too simplistic and reversed the order. It worked! It released another doorway. The SAS Team was called back. This room had Traps that still worked after centuries." Jules said.

"One of the soldiers took an arrow in the arm after stepping on a pressure plate. After find and checking the devices there was no decay to the arrows, bow or crossbow strings and bindings. We found it strange that this technology that was found in this time period. The Carbon Dating and Chemical Analysis conclusively showed they were from this time period." Gerry said.

"The SAS Team went into the chamber first with us right behind them. We think it was the High Druid's Sanctum Sanctorum. We found another altar, more scrolls, dried herbs and other implements. Again the room was rounded but smaller in size. There was no noticeable dampness and the air was not stale, and no decay after being sealed. The SAS man that was injured his wound was completely healed before we left the chamber. We had never seen anything like this!

Jules studied the altar and went to the wall. He found another anomaly in the wall. After removing the stone another lever was discovered and pulled. This opened a small door behind the altar. That's where we found the scroll that brought all of us together. Some of the scrolls that we have studied have mentioned Nimue repeatedly. I think they are part of Nimue's Book of Shadows." Liz added.

"Due to the very nature of the Primary scroll I think it is the key to unraveling this mystery. We must exert all of our resources to it. Will the B.A. help?" Ted asked.

"Oh my yes! It is a part of England's history. They have offered us access to any documents, books, computer time, or help we require. They wish to find out what is fact and what is legend too." Jules said.

"Oxford and Cambridge have offered to help also. They think that this is the most important single discovery since King Tutanhkamen's Tomb." Jamie added.

"The problem I see with everyone getting involved is the eventual legalities. They will all want a piece of the pie until nothing is left. We must utilize our own resources first as we have done until we involved the B.A. They at least won't fight for the display rights of the artifacts since they own them, or shall I say the British people own them.

I'm sorry Jamie and also to you Liz. I realize you do have certain loyalties to your prospective learning establishments. Ted said.

"There is no need to apologize we knew what we were getting into when we signed onto the Preston Foundation. We knew about the politics at the universities. We still had to offer their services by orders of the Chamberlain." Liz said apologetically.

"Liz, how accurate is the foundations Database?" Ted asked.

"With all due respects, not very accurate. The computers are very slow at the foundation. The Database has not been upgraded in years. We do concur with Miriam's findings on Merlin"

"Do you agree Jamie and Miriam?

Both shook their heads in agreement with Liz.

"Very well, Jules call Professor Jacobs at MIT and ask if he has two promising UnderGrads looking for an internship. Tell him we need two versatile people in hardware, software, graphic artist, and linguistics. Tell him what we wish to achieve They in return will receive full scholarships, guaranteed employment and a salary. Do not give out any information as to our Find. I want them here in three days."

"Sure Dad, you know he's going to Bitch about the time frame."

"If he does, remind him that he owes me a very large favor without question."

"Sure Dad it'll be done. Miriam, Liz and Jamie I would like for you to be present when I make the call. If you don't mind I will need your input." Jules said.

The meeting concluded with the essentials being noted and agreed upon. I foresaw a major problem with the symbol translation into spoken and written speech. I decided upon students instead of experienced professionals as they will never say it can't be done. They will always try to find a solution to a problem. That problem will sometimes be overcome by inventing new techniques or equipment.

As I was contemplating our present situation Julie interrupted my thoughts.

"Dad, Jacobs is pissed beyond belief. He stuttered throughout the whole conversation. That was a sure sign of his irritation. He finally agreed to what you asked.

They will be here at the appointed time frame. He also said to tell that piratical bastard that he is stealing two of his very best students. They heard the whole conversation and volunteered for the assignment. He also said if there is a paper involved he is to be included into it as a contributor and consultant."

"Julie, that's how he got into owing me this favor. The old putz never learns! Make sure that transportation and lodgings are available for them. Also they are to be treated as Staff and equals. None of the Academic Crap is to be pulled off on them. They are to be treated as our specialists.

Also use the 501 and 401 accounts for any of the computer equipment they need. They are to have Carte Blanche that is an order from the Preston Foundation Board Chairman and President."

"Dad, Please don't call me Julie! When did you speak to Mrs. Preston and Freddie?"

"Don't be trivial you have always been called Julie by the whole family and you know why.

I spoke to Evelyn and Taylor, on the flight over in the plane's washroom. I didn't want anyone to hear about our discoveries. She and Freddie will be here sometime within the week. She wants to run interference for us with the Bureaucrats so we can work."

" Oh Great! Now the boss wants to get in on the discovery of the Century. I hope she and Freddie will stay out of our way as you say."

"Julie, you and I need to talk privately. Let's go to the Site in your vehicle. Okay?

"Sure Dad."

Julie and I left the house. The others wanted to continue studying the Nimue scroll as we decided to call it. Very few people knew who Nimue was and of her part with Merlin. It was a very wise decision.

In the Range Rover we began our discussion.

"Julie, I didn't mean to embarrass you at the house. We both have an idea why Martine left. She just couldn't compete with Freddie as a lover.

When you confessed to her you were a Transsexual after being caught with Freddie she went over the edge. It was very poor discretion on your part to have a sexual tryst in your own home.

She knew that you were a better mother to the children than her. She had always had a problem with drugs and alcohol. She had endangered the children many times over. She didn't mind your crossdressing, breast enlargements or taking hormones; but she couldn't understand why you wanted to be a female. She also knew she trapped you into marrying her.

Your mother, myself, sisters and Mrs. Crawley the housekeeper, all knew of your escapades in our house. We thought it was childhood exuberance in trying to find yourself and your sexuality. We really didn't know much on the subject until Martine left. Your mother, sisters and I were a very disappointed you didn't come and confide in one of us. Why didn't you? When will you make the change? Do the children know?"

"Dad, they consider Julie their Mother. They call her Mother!"

" I also have some bad news Martine is deceased. She was found in an apartment in Fairfax Virginia the causes were an apparent Cardiac Arrest. The Foundation was contacted by the Coroner's Office. They found one of my business cards in her wallet. Evelyn, Taylor, and I buried her in our family plot. We put her personal effects into storage. Now for certain the children need Julie more then ever.

What the Hell is stopping you from becoming Julie at work on the Site? Stop confusing the children and yourself! Give your children what they need Damnit. A Mother! You would be more accepted here then anywhere else in the world. Do you know Freddie loves you?"

" As far as the Site goes nothing can stop me from being Julie. As far as at home our housekeeper and Tom both know about Julie. Gerry has given me documentation stating my condition and kept me on my medication. Freddie still loves me? Does Evelyn and Taylor know?"

"Yes, Freddie does love you very much. Yes, Evelyn and Taylor does know. She wants to know when you'll be married, so she can spoil her grandchildren.

In my case at the house I have a court decree changing your name from Jules Michael to Julie Anne Michelle, Female. Also our attorney got you a new Birth Certificate, Passport, Drivers License, Social Security Card and Credit Cards. He also changed your bank accounts over by my order. The children's Birth Certificates list Julie as the Birth Mother and Freddie as the father.

Your Mother made me and your sisters promise that we would help you in any possible way to make your transition. By the way there are letters for Julie and the children in that case also.

As soon as we get back I want to see my other darling daughter. Is that understood!" "Yes Daddy."

As we drove Julie started crying. I also cried, this was my child and I loved her as only a father could. I held Julie in my arms as we both cried harder finally kissing each other as father and accepted daughter.

After a cursory look at the Site I determined that the Goddess had revealed her secret to us. For what purpose I do not know but to paraphrase it, I'm scared Shitless of what may come. In each location Julie took me I felt as if I was being watched, no scrutinized.

I had been to the Pyramids, The City of the Dead, Pompeii, The Parthenon and many other Archeological Digs. I have never before felt the way I felt at our Site. My body hairs seem to stand on end. I felt a presence of a benevolent strength that was there to protect us. I wanted to return as quickly as possible to the farmhouse. We had to find out what that parchment said and what were the ancient mysteries concerning the Site.

I used Julie's mobile phone calling Birdie at the Farmhouse.

"Birdie, we are on our way back. Please notify Nanny that the children's mother would like to speak to her and the children after supper."

"Doctor Ted, do you mean to say Julie will be around permanently?"

"Yes Birdie, please be discreet in telling my staff at the house."

"All I can say it's about time. Those poor children need her. Also I was told to tell you that Evelyn and Freddie have arrived."

"Put Freddie's unpacked bags in The Master Bedroom.'

"Do you want me to move Julie out?'

"No Birdie. Please give out the gifts in those three very large bags in my room that you have looked through. I know you already spotted yours."

"I couldn't help but find them when I was unpacking your bags.'

"Birdie don't worry about it. Unpacking is part of your job isn't it?"

"Why yes, I guess it is."

"We'll be there in twenty minutes. Please prepare a bath for Julie."

"Sir one more thing. You're daughter Angela called. She, Sheila and Patrice are flying here in two days. They need to speak to you and Julie. They also send their love to you, their sister Julie and their nephew and nieces."

"Oh Great! Thank you we'll see you in a bit. Just make sure you help Julie."

"Right Sir!"

I told Julie everything that Birdie had said to me. When I told Julie about her sisters coming she had a surprised look on her face. I wasn't about to tell her about Evelyn and Freddie. I wanted to arrive in one piece at the Farmhouse.

We finally pulled up in front of the of the Farmhouse. I told Julie to go through the kitchen and talk to Birdie. I was going to see what progress was made in the library on the scroll.

As soon as I entered Liz excitedly pulled me into the library. Evelyn and Freddie were already being briefed by Miriam. When Liz and I walked in everything that seemed to be in order turned into the Chaos Theory at ten to the twentieth power. Everyone started talking at once.

"What's all the commotion about?"

"Birdie told us what you did to Julie. All we can say its about damn time. Now maybe we can accomplish some work. Freddie get that lecherous look off your face. Right now!" Evelyn said.

"Did anyone call Professor Jacobs?"

"No, he called us. As we speak they're on their way thanks to Evelyn and Taylor." Jamie said.

"Evelyn! I kept telling you those IT people we have don't keep up with the technology. They all sit on their complacent asses and get their checks each week. That Bitch you hired behind my back doesn't even keep our Data Bases up to date. I've told you over and over again we need competent IT people out in the Field. You never listen!

What do you mean thanks to Evelyn and Taylor?"

"Do you always have to complain? You sound like a woman that has PMS! You'd better go change your Pad, Sweetheart. Dear, please go and take some Midol.

Anyway Professor Jackass found you the people you wanted. All six are on their way now. I hired a Private Jet for them."

"What the Hell do you mean six? I asked for two! Who in the Hell is paying for the plane?"

"Stop going apoplectic you old goat! Lower you voice! I called Jackass and requested the additional students. Two are Masters Candidates, and four are UnderGrads. They begged for the assignment, Jackass said. One problem is their age and parental consent. The consent was granted through our attorney's. Our Doctor gave them the necessary inoculations and a cursory physical. Gerry will have to complete it."

"Evelyn, what did you do rob the cradle?"

"These kids are prodigies. You have the opportunity to mold them into whatever you need out in the Field."

"Evelyn! How old are they!"

"The oldest is sixteen, the youngest is thirteen."

"I very seldom use this word especially to a woman. Are you out of your Fuckin' mind! You're right they are kids no older then my grandchildren."

"You mean our grandchildren! And yes I have been assured that they can and will do what you require. So shut your mouth and never use that word to me ever again!"

"By the Goddess! At least we have a Nanny."

"Will you two stop acting like children yourselves!" Julie said entering the library door.

Everyone just stared and looked in the direction of the sexy contralto voice belonging to Julie. I had to take a second look at her. She looked just like her mother at that age. She was dressed still in Khaki but in a flowing skirt with deep cargo pockets, Bush pocket blouse and Bush jacket with a belt. She wore suntanned colored stockings and brown penny loafers on her dainty feet. Her hair was in a Ponytail, earrings in her ears and had very little makeup on.

The room broke out into a thunderous applause. My daughter Julie finally appeared as she was meant to be. I was very proud of her and of my whole family. I loved them all equally. The joy in my heart and the tears in my eyes said it all. The Goddess plays some cruel tricks at times. I guess it's to make us all better humans. Unfortunately it can also cause the demise of the individual that the trick has been played on. I thank her that my Julie was spared.

Freddie went to Julie first, giving her a smile and a kiss. He reached for her hand and took it into his. Julie's children followed her into the room all of them had smiles on their faces.

"Darling, I love you and our children. I always will."

They then kissed again. Everyone in the room kissed her one by one. Her acceptance was unequivocal. Her children stayed by her side with Freddie. As everyone was talking.

"Alright let's get back to work." I said.

" Grandpa can we stay with mom and dad while you do your work." Michael said

Did I just hear him call Freddie; Dad. OhMyGod! Are things that serious or have I been blind as to their relationship. Where have I been when the children started calling Freddie dad? Well it's too late to ponder that question. It looks as if they are a family and Freddie is a part of my daughter's life.

"Of course you can stay. But, you must not tell anyone what you hear in this house. That goes for all you children! Okay."

"Sure Grandpa. Mom already told us that it was okay to stay but, only with your permission.'

Miriam was in front of a computer screen with Liz, Gerry and Jamie. They had just scanned several parchments into the translation program. As they awaited the results Liz said, "This damned program is so inaccurate I don't know how we have used it in the past."

"Well maybe those kids can do something with it. Liz, you'll have to be their nanny

and teach them all you know. Once these symbols are translated all the scrolls can be interpreted." Miriam said.

"What the Bloody Hell are you talking about! Nanny my Arse! Not when I am working on the next Rosetta Stone!" Liz exclaimed.

"C'mon Liz, let those mothering instincts flow. They might be geniuses but they're still teenagers and they will need love and understanding." Gerry said

"Piss Off, my dear colleague and friend." Liz said with a smile.

"Hey, look at this symbol! I can't find a reference to it anywhere." Miriam said.

"The beginning of the line states "is to be confined for all eternity by the order of the Goddess and " something." Liz said as she transcribed the parchment.

"Wait a minute!" she carefully removed a tiny speck of dirt to reveal what was missing she was looking at with a magnifying glass.

"It states "Myrddin is to be confined for all eternity by the command of the Goddess and" there are a few other symbols that I have never seen before. It's a possibility it means servant but this last symbol could mean Nimue. By The Goddess! This the most important document to ever be discovered on the British Isles. This verifies the existence of Nimue and Merlin."

I was quite sure it was the most important Archeological Find of the 20th.-21st. Centuries. This would overshadow King Tut's Tomb if it came to fruition. The anticipation of the Find was so great my hands had begun to shake. Evelyn must have seen the excitement I was trying to hold back.

"Darling, are you all right! I hope you aren't feeling ill. Do you want to sit down?"

All I could do was shake my head to tell her no. As Liz got closer to the parchment I noticed the crystal around her neck start to glow and change to a very deep red glow.

"Liz, I think you better remove that crystal from around your neck."

"What the Hell are you babbling about Ted. It's a blessed crystal to protect me and the Coven from harm."

"It's changing colors and emitting a red glow. Liz take it off now!"

She managed to take off the crystal just in time as it released and energy beam that hit the wall with a tremendous force blast and shockwave. It missed Gerry and struck an electrical outlet destroying the outlet and the wall area.

If I were a superstitious old fart I would have run like Hell. Was it an omen of doom? I could not say. All I know is there was a very bad smell emanating from Gerry's area. He left the room quite expeditiously. He had a rapidly increasing size brown spot on the rear of his pants. I think it scared the Shit out him of literally. Liz in turned left a very widening puddle at her feet while still holding the crystal..

Birdie and Tom raced into the library. They both had a look of shock on their faces seeing the wall and the crystal in Liz's hand. Tom left very quickly while Birdie stayed saying, "My, who couldn't find the Loo. I really must have the electric's repaired now."

I swear there is nothing that would faze that woman. She has the sum and substance of the ancient ones. The tenacity of a pair of ferrets by a rabbit hutch. Tom on the other hand is a little henpecked and extremely quiet. We all love this cockney coupled no matter what idiosyncrasy they have.

Tom returned to the room and said, "I've rung up the electrician. He's on his way.'

"Please have him check the ground wires."

"What for? Nothing that runs on the electric's work. The house as a whole is dead."

"Julie, Birdie, and Freddie please go and check on Gerry. He was really shaken.

Evelyn and Miriam please take care of Liz. Get her cleaned up as soon as possible. I need her to speak to me coherently.

Michael, Judy and Kerri wait outside for the electrician.

Jamison go with Tom and take pictures before the electrician arrives. I also want pictures wall, Feed Lines and Fuse box. Please call the Site and get three very large electrical generators brought here along with someone to tend them." I said to the assembled group.

When all had departed the room I sat down. I could not let anyone see the I too was shaken. We all had witnessed something that was not explainable. I was not comfortable sitting in the same room as that parchment and the crystal Liz was wearing. I looked at the wall once again where the bolt of energy had struck. It had stuck a three foot in diameter area centering at the electrical outlet. It was so intense that in went completely through the wall into the dining room, to the outside wall, continuing through the wall and outside. I was frightened to venture outside. I honestly hoped that bolt of energy did not hit anyone or anyone's property.

I heard the clicking of high heels on the hardwood floors. I looked up as Evelyn entered the library.

"Whatever that was, it really scared the shit out of Gerry. The poor man left a trail all the way to the crapper. All Birdie could say is what a mess.. I guess I'll have to give her and Tom a salary increase after this little episode."

"My Dear Evelyn, we should consider ourselves very lucky that no one was injured or killed."

"Honey, I know you're right. What could have caused all this damage."

"Didn't you see?"

"No! I was speaking to Julie and Kerri."

"I saw it and still cannot believe it. Liz was bending over the scroll, the crystal she was wearing visibly became a dark deep red like the deepest red ruby. As Liz unhooked the chain that was around her neck, it was as if the crystal discharged all the energy it had stored. The discharge was typical of a LASER being fired. I just don't know what to think."

"Do you think it is some sort of link between Liz, the scroll and the crystal?"

"I don't know, but that possibility can't be discounted. I really think this incident was one Hell of a warning to us. You do know I will have to document this incident?"

"Honey, for all our sakes you had better. If anymore things like this happen They're going to cancel our household insurance."

As Evelyn and I were speaking to each other we heard another voice. All that person kept saying is Blimey. It was the electrician!

"G'day Guv, saw you had a spot of trouble with the electric's."

"I guess you could say that."

"It be awful strange that, that there box exploded through the wall as well as your main box in the pantry. The outside wires are also gone for good. All the appliances I think are alright. It looks like the current followed a direct path to earthground. The only time you see this is after there be a lightning strike. There be no clouds in the skies!"

"No it wasn't lightning it started in that area. There used to be an outlet there." I said.

"I'll do what I can but, I need a few extra men to get you going. You'll have to call in a mason for the walls."

"Do what you have to do." Evelyn said.

"The Hell he will! Jonathon Kingsley, you will get everything that needs doing at a fair labor and material price. You will do the job as fast as you can. You will not cheat these people. If you try I will speak to your wife. Do you understand!"

"Blimey Birdie, I need a few extra hands. I would nae think of cheating these Yanks.

"You'd cheat your grandmother if she were alive. You probably stole her mourning shroud before she was buried. Get the men you need and a good mason and carpenter. Now, be off with you!"

"Alright, alright already, Birdie! I'll ring them in the truck. "

The electrician left the room with Birdie hot on his heels. That woman was a force of strength to all of us.

Tom and Jamie entered the library with a look of disbelief on their faces. Jamie was the first to speak saying, " What ever that was we traced as far as 5 kilometers in a straight line. We couldn't miss the path it left. It bored through trees, rock and even hills. The power it contained was immense."

"Sir, I've seen a great deal of strange things but, this was the strangest yet.", Tom said.

"Do either of you know if anyone was hurt?"

"Evelyn, as far as we know the answer is no." Jamie said.

"That's Good! at least I know I didn't kill anyone." Liz stated as she walked into the room. She was still wearing the crystal. It was a dark red in color. Liz looked very distraught.

"does anyone know what happened? Was the event documented?" Liz asked.

"Always speaking as the consummate scientist. Are you Okay Liz?" ,Evelyn said.

"Well considering that I almost had a radical mastectomy and a lobotomy at the same time I'm fine. One further item, the silver pentagram that I always wear since I became a priestess turned to gold."

"No the event was not documented on film or tape. I want you to take that crystal to a gemologist and the pentagram to a goldsmith, have them both checked out. See if there are any unusual properties that could have caused our little problem."

"Ted, I assure you that we did a purification ritual asking the Goddess for her protection and guidance. We asked for her blessing nothing more. Is there a possibility that was a warning to us?", Liz said.

"As scientists we are not supposed to be believers as to what happened here. We are supposed to be neutral and to look for explainable reasons. I really hate to burst the scientific communities bubble but something happened. It scared the crap out of not just one person of our team but all of us. I for one Thank the Goddess that no one was hurt or killed. Now Please, go have them analyzed."

"I'm on my way!", Liz said leaving the library.

"Ted, I've known you for over forty years. Can you tell me what the hell is going on."

"Evelyn if I knew you know I would tell you. We all have to have an open mind right now. However I do have my suspicions but we need further information. We can not have any assumptions", Ted said just as Tom was walking into the library.

"The generators have arrived. Jonny be hooking them up now. Ye'll have power in one hours time."

"Thank you, Tom. How is Gerry doing ?"

"He be fine. Miss Julie hae him all cleaned up. He was a mess! Miss Julie pitched his old clothes. They be in the fire.", Tom said and left to attend to the electrician.

"I have to get out of here for awhile. I'm going for a walk I have to think things over.", Ted said walking from the room.

I had to think and to reflect on what had happened. I have my suspicions call it theory, hypothesis whatever you like. We were dealing with something that was beyond our normal logical way of scientific thinking.

Was it a challenge? A warning of impending doom? Is there a curse involved? What was the source of this power? How was it created? Was it Magick? Was there such a thing as Magick? As a scientist the answer to many of these questions the answer was no. An emphatic no! As a human being I just didn't know. Something in me was saying to be very cautious. Was it a psychic ability? I don't know positively.

I once read that all humans are born with a Psychic ability. As we increase in age we tend to lose these abilities. Probably due to not knowing we had them. A good proportion of women have what is called Women's Intuition. Some scientists and psychics express the opinion that it is a raw form of psychic energy. If this energy is refined or honed there is a psychic bonding to certain individuals such as family, special friends and so on.

I don't know what it is and really don't care. We have to generate more caution. We have to find out the answers to the questions I had thought about. We must have and retain complete scientific objectivity.

I had walked through the night I wasn't the least bit tired. As the sun came up I realized I was almost back to where I had started from the farmhouse.

My scientific objectivity was shattered when I returned to the farmhouse. Our complete team was assembled in the den in their nightwear. I noticed that we had power and several new very young faces in attendance. Liz had returned with the gemologist's and a metallurgist's report while I was on "Walkabout". The excitement was at a very high level.

"We were about to send out a search party to find your old ass.", Evelyn said.

"Well, I'm here now. What's all the commotion?"

"As I was telling everyone, the reports simply say the crystal I was wearing is now the finest Blood Red Ruby the four gemologists has ever seen. Because of the unusual cut, clarity, coloring and size of 49.36 carats they wanted other gemologists to consult with him. The other Rubies eight in total the largest at 36 carats the smallest at 6 carats .

The pentagram, earrings, eight rings, eight bangle bracelets and two chains were determined to be 24 Karat Gold and weighed in at 6 Troy pounds. The Metallurgist stated it was impossible not to have impurities to fabricate this type of adornment and chains. He said he had never in his life, ever seen this type of workmanship.

All of my jewelry was solid silver and the stones were crystal after the accident all of my jewelry was gold and all the stones are Red Rubies.

What the Hell happened? And why did it only happen to me? Does anyone have any ideas?"

"Liz didn't you give all of us crystals? Were they purified?"

"Why yes everyone of the team received one from me and yes they were purified.", Liz said.

"Gerry are you wearing yours? If so please look at it or have someone look at it."

"I never take it off!", Gerry said.

Liz inspected it saying, "Gerry, your are now independently wealthy!"

I watched all of the team start to inspect their crystals and reporting the same findings. All the crystals were turned to Rubies and the chains to gold. All of the jewelry we wore yesterday had been changed. An Alchemist would have been proud! I started to wonder if Lead could be turned to Gold.

"What the Hell is going on here?" Evelyn said.

"How do we know? You'd think we're archeologists or something.", Jamie said with a smile.

"Liz, can you purify more crystal for everyone in the house?"

"They're on their way. I have Amena bringing extras, she is the High Priestess of another Coven of sisters. I thought of that when I left the Gemologist. Amena is also bringing a Book of Knowledge from my office.

This book was discovered about 150 years ago in Scotland. It was archived at the university and placed in my care. It was dated roughly 500-700 A.D. by a Celtic High Sorcerer or Sorceress by the name of Chyaedar. The symbols are similar to what we have been trying to decipher on the scrolls. I thought that it may shed some light on our mystery."

"So you've been holding back on us, you're fellow team members.", Jamie said with a smile.

"No, I wasn't holding out on you. Angela and I are trying to transpose the book. Many of the symbols are similar but at the same time different. I think it's just a matter of writing or drawing style."

"That may be. From what we have seen all the computer equipment here will not do what you need. " A very high and methodical voice said.

"And who may you be?' Liz asked.

"My name is Ashley. I am the computer team leader. Also I do not believe in Magic, Sorcerers or any other Hocus Pocus. I believe in logic and the power of algorithms not in Dungeons and Dragons." Ashley said.

"Ashley, many of us didn't believe in a great deal of things either until yesterday. All of you are here on my request through Professor Jacobs. I and my team will not tolerate to be belittled or scorned by a pompous little ass such as you. Precocious you may be, geniuses you are; but you will show these people respect. You will get respect from these people as you earn it. Is that understood!", I said angrily.

All of the newly arrived children nodded their heads. I do believe I may have scared them a bit.

"I'm glad we have come to an understanding. There are no formalities at our Sites. You may call all of us by our given names. I'm Ted and to my grandchildren over there I'm Grandpa. They are Michael, Judy and Kerri.

That lady in the back is their mother Julie and father Freddie. Next to Freddie is Evelyn, Freddie's mother and one of the Heads of the Preston Foundation. In other words my Boss. The other person in charge of the Foundation is Taylor Preston, Evelyn's brother, my other Boss

The woman that you have just disrespected is Dr Elizabeth Watkins of Cambridge. Next to her are Dr. Jamison McPherson of Oxford and Dr. Gerald Fitzpatrick our M.D. and Forensic Pathologist from the University of Dublin. Dr Miriam Smyth or Duchess Miriam Smyth Director of Research, a linguist, and Psychologist. She is also a direct descendent of the Royal Family.

We will also be joined shortly by Dr. Amena McDougal from the University of Edinburgh. Another Linguist, Anthropologist and Chemist.

We are all specialists in our respective fields such as Archeology, Anthropological Specialties as ancient linguistics, sociologies, physical, Medieval History. You are specialists in Computer Science and are now part of our team. No one cares what your ages are, as long as you do your respective jobs. Is that understood!:

"Grandfather, give the kid a break. At least he stood up and said he was wrong." Judy my granddaughter said with a smile that would melt your heart.

At first I could not believe I had heard my loving granddaughter had told me her grandfather to back down, I really wanted to dismember Ashley and send the brat back to Jacobs in pieces.

I felt Jacobs had personally tried to sabotage our project. He could be an egotistical ass but he is a genius in his field. We have been at each other throats for decades. The man had also courted my dear deceased wife when we were younger and I had won the prize. I was never forgiven and he had never forgotten what I had done. Tough Shit!

"Because of your ages it would not be respectable for you to call us by our given names. Are there any Suggestions?"

"Knowing all of you as I do including you Gramps none of you like to use your titles. Since you are all a very close knit family. I suggest that you all adopt them. Remember they are almost 3000 miles from the States. Their families are back there. In effect all of us are responsible for them. " Evelyn said.

"What the hell are you trying to say Grandma." Liz said with a smile on her face.

"Well Auntie Liz, I think I just said it." Evelyn just retorted.

" Grandma I usually keep out of these type of arguments but I agree with you. I won't mind being called Uncle Jamie and I'm sure neither will the rest of us." Jamison said.

All the adults agreed with Evelyn. All I kept thinking of was not more Grandchildren.

"I guess the matter is settled."

"Don't we have a say in this matter?" Ashley asked.

"My Dear adopted grandchild, No you don't!" Evelyn said with finality.

"Grandma, Ashley is speaking too much for us. I for one would love to have an extended family. Considering my grandparents are deceased and I don't have any Aunts or Uncles.

Since he didn't introduce us my name is Kimberly and I'm 15. Next to me and going down the line is Lesley, he's 14; Lynn, she's 14; Alva he's 13; and Brittany she's 13." Kimberly said with a smile that could match Judy's and Kerri's.

The children went to each of us giving either a kiss or a hug. We all returned them enthusiastically. Ashley even dropped his fa�ade and joined in. They even started calling Freddie and Julie mom and dad just as Michael, Judy and Kerri did.

These kids may be geniuses but they still were children that had emotional needs. I spoke to the Goddess in my mind to protect us all. I had a psychic feeling that would not go away we would need all of her protection.

Birdie entered the room with a middle aged woman. Her clothing set off her Auburn hair and skin tone which was deeply tanned. She was perhaps 5'7" and very svelte.

I guess you could call her manner of dress as early gypsy or Medieval. She wore a dress similar to the type I had seen in one particular movie made in 1947 and called "Golden Earrings" with Ray Milland and Marlene Dietrich.

The skirt was very colorful containing every color of the rainbow and ankle length. At the waist was a wide belt or girdle made of interlinked metal. A 3/4 length sleeved, white peasant blouse, trimmed at the edges in a variety of colors. Soft black leather, calf length boots. Around her neck she wore various talismans all of Druidic and Celtic origin. Her earrings were of the pentagram signifying she was a Wiccan.

Miriam and Liz both yelled and rushed to her saying, " Amena! You finally got here! Did you bring everything?"

"Of course I did! Now who are all these adorable children and of course everyone else?"

Liz introduced Amena to all of us. By the way her given name comes from the Celtic Form meaning "Honest Woman". That was precisely what she was. She was very outgoing and friendly to everyone. At last we had our whole team. No the work would begin in ernest.

After the introductions and small talk were finished she examined all of the changed jewelry.

"According to ancient legend the Alchemist could turn purified crystal to certain precious stones. These articles are beyond me! This truly must be a miracle of the Goddess. The red stone was to symbolize the heart or love. It was also to symbolize protection of the soul to the Christians." Amena said.

"When we purified them we followed the ritual exactly as was taught and written. There was nothing that could have corrupted the stones. Besides the owners would swear they were crystals before entering this room.", Liz stated.

"Liz, please give the talismans back to their owners. Give these new crystals to everyone that does not own one."

"What about Birdie, Tom and Jonny?", Liz asked.

"Anyone here in this house. Now let's take that Scroll outdoors. We have an experiment to perform!", Amena said.

I was very hesitant to do this. My intuition was kicking in again telling me there was danger. I felt as if I was endangering the lives of those around me. Gerry looked like he was ready to run after what had happened earlier. I couldn't blame him or anyone for that matter, for not wanting to do what was asked.

"Look everyone I know how all of you feel. This has to be done it is for the love of science and truth. Liz don't worry they make wonderfully realist breast prosthetics today. You could even have plastic surgery to reconstruct them."

Liz suddenly lifted her right hand giving me a one finger salute usually reserved for Taxi Drivers not wanting to pick up passengers.

We all left the house En Masse. Not a word was spoken by anyone. I really felt sorry for Liz as she was holding the Scroll. I did notice she was not wearing her Blood Stone.

We headed to an outside table that was 100 yards North from the house. Liz laid the scroll down on the table. Gerry, Miriam and Liz took the same positions as before. Added was Amena who took a position next to Liz and I next to Gerry. The rest of us formed a half circle to our backs with the children in the back.

"Liz please re-enact what you did before. You must do it precisely! Everyone do not take off your talisman for any reason.", Amena said.

Liz placed her Blood Stone around her neck. She bent her body to read the scroll as before. As she read the scroll aloud I saw that her Blood Stone had started to glow increasing in intensity as if it was taking an electrical charge like a battery.

By the Goddess it was happening again! This time it was different. No one attempted to remove their talisman. All of the talisman's were blood red and glowed, even the new crystals.

As part of the experiment I reached behind my neck undoing the clasp. I was also moving away from everyone at the same time. Just as I undid the clasp there was a tremendous bolt of energy that had originated at my former crystal. It followed the same trajectory that the previous bolt had taken.

I felt a burning sensation and looked down. My shirt and jacket were on fire. I managed to extinguish the flame very quickly after clasping the chain back together.

"I really wasn't sure at first. The chain acts like an electrical circuit would. If the circuit is broken the energy has nowhere to go but out."

"From what I can gather that scroll is a protective spell. To protect us from who? Merlin? The Dragon's Staff? The puts the term of Magick into a new category along with technology.", Amena said excitedly.

As was expected the new crystals that were worn as well as the other crystals Amena had brought had changed to Blood Stones. The chains were now 24Karat Gold. I still could not comprehend why the bolt of energy followed the same path as the original bolt. Where did it eventually go? This was the next puzzle to piece together.

Julie and Birdie came over to me after checking the children.

"Daddy, what on earth do you think you were doing?", Julie said as she inspected my shirt and jacket.

"Aye, Doctor Ted. I thought you was a goner for sure.", Birdie said.

"It was a spur of the moment thing. I had a feeling about the Stones."

"Yeah, well your feeling almost scared the crap out of me again." Gerry said while checking my chest area for burns.

"You have a third degree burn that needs attention immediately.", Gerry said.

"I'll attend to it later, Gerry. It really doesn't hurt that bad."

"It should be looked after now Daddy." Julie said.

As we were walking back to the house I was attaching the formerly clear crystal back around my neck. I noticed that the pain had diminished noticeably. The area felt cool and itchy. I looked down.

"Gerry, Julie, Look at my chest!"

"I don't believe it! The area that was burned is healed Ted. Are you trying to put me out of business? Wait a minute, are you thinking what I'm thinking?", Gerry said shaking his head.

"I want you to perform medical tests on anyone wearing our the talisman. Try to get a complete medical history, Lab work ups, and films, of each person. Tell Evelyn to call the parents of the kids and get their Medical Histories also. There are to be no exceptions!"

I really hadn't noticed but everyone was gathered around me. Each had heard what I told Gerry.

"Not one word of this is to said away from here. No one is to make any rash conclusions. That includes your crew Jonny! You will collect all of those Talisman's from your crews before they leave with no exceptions. If anything of what has happened here today gets out Birdie will have your manhood mounted on her kitchen wall. Is that understood?"

"Birdie I could put a smile on your face with my Thing.", Jonny said.

"Who in the hell would want to hang that Wee Thing? Your wife doesn't even want it!", Birdie said with a straight face.

The levity broke the seriousness of the present situation. We needed answers! In all the combined years of the people, gathered we were at the threshold of the mightiest discovery of the world. What would the consequences be for this discovery?

All the workmen went back to work on the house. We all went back to the library including Birdie and Tom.

"Birdie can you make sure Jon's crew maintains their silence."

"I might but, I know Tom can." Birdie said.

"Aye Doctor Ted. They be quiet. Not one will squeak a word, nae even to the wives.", Tom said with a devilish smile.

When I saw that smile I could only assume that he had them by the "Short Hairs" for some undisclosed reason. Birdie and Tom have worked for years with the Foundation. They had been married for over 20 years and placed them in their forties age wise.

Birdie could be a bit brassy but took very good care of us. Tom was on the other hand an introvert. He normally kept to himself, speaking only when he had something to say. They were a unique couple and still are.

"Thank you Tom, we all have to be quiet about what happened. There are very disreputable people out there. Promise them all jobs if necessary. Their silence is mandatory and essential."

.The collective team arrived at the library. Our method of action was outlined. More research was needed on those unknown symbols. The scrolls that we had in our possession had to be cleaned and translated. The Translation Data Base had to be revised or reconstructed Everyone agreed to the plan.

As we had the meeting Birdie and Tom made sure we were fed. Suffering a tongue lashing from Birdie if she thought we were not eating enough. I thought we had a reprieve when Birdie left the library. She returned several minutes later giving Amena the Talismans the workmen had. We had them all!

The meeting and the meal had concluded. We were all tired especially the children. All I kept thinking of were the days events as we were placing the scrolls in the vault.

I had entered my bedroom and proceeded to take my clothes off for a nice relaxing hot bath. The bath was refreshing to some extent. I was still worried. I stood before the mirror noticing that most of my gray hair was turning a brownish red that I had when I was younger. Some of the old age paunchiness seemed to be going also. Now what the Hell was happening?

I heard a knock at the door. I put on my pajamas and robe before opening the door. As I left the bathroom Julie walked in sitting in a chair crossing her legs.

"Daddy, Have you been coloring your hair?" she asked.

"No, my Dear. Why?"

"Have you taken a look at yourself in the mirror lately?" she said.

I decided to look in the mirror. I was totally speechless. There was no doubt that my hair was getting darker. It also seemed as if my skin was losing some of the leathery look associated with aging. I looked at Julie, she too was starting to regress in age. What the Hell is going on?

"I think you should look at yourself before accusing me my dear daughter."

"Daddy, I'm really not concerned about that. I am concerned about all the children. Are we exposing them to any danger? We seem to be delving into a realm we have never encountered before.", Julie said.

As Julie was speaking there was a soft knock at the door. I motioned Julie to stop talking and opened the door. Miriam was standing in the doorway wearing her pajamas, slippers and robe. Entering immediately when the door opened to sit in another chair gathering her legs under her.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to intrude Ted.", Miriam said.

"You're not intruding. Julie and I were speaking about the safety of the children."

"In some respects I feel she's right. We are dealing with unknown factors. At the same time the children may resent them not being able to partake in the find of the century. We are on the horns of a dilemma, I fear." Miriam said.

"Speaking of unknown factors. How are you connections with M.I. 5 and 6?"

"You know I don't like playing with those blokes. I'll see what I can do.", Miriam said.

"I need the points where those bolts of energy went. If I am correct they need to follow the path of destruction. Do you think the satellites may have picked them up?"

"They will ask for the date and times for the photographic interpreters. If they see that damage on computer or film, we will be asked a great deal of questions.", Miriam said.

"Do you think you could try?", Julie asked.

"That's all I can do but try. I may have someone I could talk to. By the way what did you do to your hair Ted? You dyed it didn't you!", Miriam said smiling toothily.

"What the hell is it with you two. NO! NO! NO! I did not dye my hair. Now get out of my room so I can get some rest."

"Julie Honey, is being impolite part old age? Does senility follow?" Miriam said as she was unfolding her legs getting up from her chair.

"You should know Daddy by now. He's always been uncivil, I really don't know about senile dementia. It's a damn good thing he has never been a mother then he would know all about it.", Julie said laughing walking to the bedroom door with Miriam leaving my room.

I was too tired to do anything but slam the door behind them. I wanted to sleep and perhaps to have peaceful dreams.

I was suddenly awakened from my sleep by someone shaking me violently and yelling my name. As I awoke I noticed I was drenched in perspiration which was not uncommon at this time of year.

"Ted! Ted! Are you alright?", Evelyn said waking me with Julie, Miriam, Liz and Amena beside her. Each had concerned looks on their faces.

As I gazed about the room. I suddenly remembered where I was. I also remembered my dream and the warning I had received. Did I dare tell anyone? I think so!

It may be important in our quest to find the Dragon's Staff.

"What are you doing in here? I'm alright! Let me go back to sleep."

"Listen you old fart, you're the one that woke up the whole house. Don't even try to cop an attitude with us." Evelyn said concernedly.

"I had a dream that's all. I'm fine!"

" Ted, tell us about that dream, please.", Amena said very softly with compassion in her voice.

I told them about the dream. I was visited by a three women. They were the most beautiful women I have ever gazed upon. I really could not distinguish their height but their body builds were slight. The one that spoke to me had very long auburn hair and porcelain skin. She was surrounded by a brilliant bluish white light. She was dressed in ancient styled robes colored in a light pink. Similar to the depicted robes of the Grecian Goddess Diana. She also was perched atop on the largest reined, saddled, fiercest looking red eyed, bluish green Dragon you could imagine. It positively dwarfed her! There was also a very large handled Broad Sword attached to the dragon's saddle.

The other two women wore the robes and symbols of a High Sorceress. The symbols were in gold and silver. One wore red the other green. The one wearing red had reddish brown hair. The woman wearing green had long golden hair.

Each had a very long walking staff with glowing red stones at the top. There were also holding the reins of two Wyvern.

I was told by the lady on the Dragon to beware. There were many dangers in my quest. Only those that could be in Season may enter the Place of Dreams. Only those that were maiden like may enter the Place of Dreams. I was to beware of those with smooth tongues and the old pernicious traps. The Place of Dreams would surrender Draclyon to the Chaste, pure of heart and soul, for the good.

Amena and Liz looked at me quizzically. Perhaps I was going senile?

"Can you describe or draw one of the symbols, Ted?", Amena asked.

I got out of bed and went to my desk. I found a pen and pad of paper. I drew what I could remember. Archeologists and Anthropologists are by nature fairly proficient in the recreation of symbols. We are all trained to be observant in the mysteries of man and civilization but somehow I must have failed Art 101 as an Undergraduate.

I handed the paper to Amena who studied it and handed it to Liz. Both of them looked at me peculiarly with Amena saying, "Ted, in nature those symbols are Celtic and Druidic. Could you describe the sword?"

"The hilt was longer then two hands. The Pommel was of gold and a large blue stone in it. The blade might have been five foot, perhaps even longer. The handguard was a highly polished silver with gold at the ends with one red stone on each end. The sword was protected in a leather scabbard. One thing I remember is that everytime she spoke it seemed as if the sword sang to the sound of her voice."

"Ted , are you psychic or attuned?", Liz asked.

"My mother was and so are all the girls including Julie to some degree. Why?"

"We think you had a vision of Nimue. She was warning all of us through you.", Amena said quite concisely.

"Please I'm too old for that superstitious nonsense."

"Superstitious Nonsense! I think you had better go look in the mirror.", Liz said.

I went into the bathroom and turned on the light. I saw a person there that I had not seen in thirty years staring back at me in the mirror. That person of course was me! What the hell happened? How is this happening?

As I turned around I looked at the everyone in my room. They had regressed also in age. By the Goddess! Was this a blessing or part of a curse. I couldn't think properly. I had to go back into the bedroom and sit.

As I walked back in to the bedroom I grabbed a legal pad and pen. I had decided to write down verbatim what was said to me in the dream.

"I guess I can't call you an old fart anymore." Evelyn said with a smile and a giggle.

"Have you looked in the mirror lately you old bat!"

"Ted, now be nice to poor Evelyn even if she can be an old bat at times.", Liz said

"Listen you young witch, I think you better look in the mirror also", Evelyn added.

"By the Goddess! Will all of you please stop your bantering. You're giving me a headache." Amena said.

As they and I threw corrosive witticisms at each other I wrote down everything that was said to me in the dream. I also included physical descriptions of the women, and what they wore as were the symbols. The dragon and wyvern were also described.

Miriam had gone to her room to extract a book and had just returned as I finished. She opened the book which was quite old and large to a place handing it to me saying, "Is this the sword that you saw in the dream."

I could not believe it. It was the same sword that was drawn by some unknown medieval monastic monk. It was Excalibur just as I had described it. What was the purpose of this dream. Was it a warning? I just didn't know. Now we have another mystery to unravel.

"It is definitely the same sword that I saw in the dream. Here are my notes of everything that was said to me. Now all of you get the hell out of my bedroom and let me go back to sleep. Julie, please check on the children with Liz and Amena. Then get yourself back to bed with your husband."

"Ted, are you going to be okay? "Evelyn said with her mothering voice.

"I'll be fine,. It was just a dream."

The women finally left my room and me alone. I started to mull the words in my mind of what that woman had said. As I thought my body relaxed I drifted off to a deep, fitful sleep.

I awoke around 9:00AM and proceeded downstairs to get some coffee. As I entered the kitchen I saw a woman tidying up that I had never seen before. She was very pretty about 20 years old, with long brown hair that got in her way as she swept the floor.

Her waist was small, her hips they would use to say "good for child-birthing". Her breasts were probably a B plus or C cup that went gloriously with her frame. She had very full lips a small pert nose and petite ears.

"Who are you? Where's Birdie?"

"Doctor Ted! Is that you?", The young woman said.

"It's me, Birdie! I haven't looked like this since I was in me Twenties. I had to borrow clothes from me daughter so I could work. Me daughter an son was a wee bit shakin' after seein' us. What the devil is going on Ted? Oh Heavens! Look at you!" Birdie said just about ready to cry.

I walked over to Birdie and enveloped her into my arms and kissed her forehead saying, "Birdie, I really don't know what is happening. It's doing it to all of us I think. As soon as Gerry gets up he's going to want to run some tests on all of us."

"Gerry, went to London this morn by coach. My Lord! He was in a tizzy. At first I didn't recognize him. He's absolutely gorgeous and young she is! Borrowed clothes from me daughter she did.", Birdie said.

"Now Birdie no thoughts like that you're a married woman. Besides what would Tom say if he heard you? Did you say she?"

Birdie gave a giggle and smiled saying, "You're a little too late to say that to me. I said them words, with him standing next to me right here in the kitchen. Tom looks like he did when we were teenagers. I would nae ever trade him in for another model. Aye, Gerri be a she I think."

The both of us hugged again. As we touch I winced in as to a little discomfort in my breast area. For some unknown reason the area near and around my nipples seemed tender and inflamed. Birdie saw what happened and ask," Take your pajama top off and I'll get some ice."

As I took the top off I heard an intake of air from Birdie's mouth. I could see that something was wrong by the look in her eyes.

"What's wrong Birdie?"

As I said Birdie, Evelyn entered the kitchen. She looked even younger the and more beautiful then she had during the night. She had the most radiant smile that was contagious. She suddenly ceased to smile as she saw my chest, putting her hand to her mouth.

"I will only say this once more. What's wrong?"

As if on queue Amena, Liz and Jamie walked into the kitchen. Both women also gasped. Jamie just shook his head in disbelief saying, "So you have it too?"

"Have what?"

"I think you had better look in the mirror Ted." Jamie said.

I looked at Jamie strangely. I knew I was speaking to my colleague and team member but he just looked different someway. More feminine!. His facial features seemed more delicate as well as younger. His hair seemed longer, shinier and very full. It seemed as though his hips and posterior were wider, more padded ready to burst out of the shorts he was wearing. His shirt buttons seemed to be ready to also burst.

What is going on ? Is this happening to me also? I looked in the mirror. What has the Goddess done? I looked like a younger version of my mother. It looked like it was her face looking back at me when she was 16 years old. I remember those old photos well.

That is when I looked at my chest area. My hair was completely gone. My nipples seemed wider and longer more suitable for a woman nursing a babe than on the chest of a old man. The aureole was starting to crown outward to form a cone.

I studied my reflection in deep disbelief. Oh Goddess, why is this happening? Why! As I continued to stare. I heard the happy sounds of Julie and all of the children coming downstairs. I rebuttoned my pajama top quickly. I Exited the kitchen at a run via the kitchen stairway back to my room. I must have climbed the stairs too quickly as a seemed to have lost my pajama bottoms. I just left them and ran to my bed chamber.

I made it! I heard footstep following, I ignored them as I ran to the bathroom. I needed to get a better look at my body a appraise my situation. As I shut the door I heard the voices of Jamie, Birdie, Evelyn, Amena, Liz and Julie in the bedchamber calling for me.

"Please, just everyone just go away! I really need to sort this out." I said in my mother's voice. I remembered her voice quite vividly as a youngster growing up. It had such an enchanting melodic sound quality. I had missed it so when she had passed on to the afterlife when I was 25. Now I had it!

"Ted was that you that just spoke?" Amena asked in bewilderment.

"Please come out. We know about your changes. Jamie and Julie have just about completed theirs. I'm afraid we have some other problems to face." Evelyn said sadly.

I walked out of the bathroom after inspecting myself. I have decreased in height and weight to probably 5'2"and 85-90lbs. Since my mother had a C cup mine were at a possible B cup. I knew that I would be approaching that size if the genetics were right. I'm even larger then my deceased wife! My Testes have ascended into my body. My penis is less than a nub soon I'll need a microscope to find it. My hair was down past my shoulders and very full with no gray and was a very dark red with brown shades in it. Just Like mother's hair used to be.

"What do you mean other problems?" Sounding and standing defiantly like my mother would only do when she was alive. I seemed to have acquired her genes suddenly standing in an oversized pajama top looking perhaps 13 or 14 years old just as she once looked. I remembered those pictures well.

As I looked around at all of us, everyone appeared to be even younger or closer in age to me. Evelyn seemed to blush at my appearance and said, "Honey, what has happened to us has also affected our complete team. The children are the least affected, except for Ashley, Lesley and Alva. All the girls are at early teen stages, I think."

"How were they affected?"

"Teddi sweetie, you do have such a sweet new voice. I love it! They are no longer boys. Julie had to borrow clothing from Judy and Kerri for them and for the girls also. They were a real handful!"

All I could think is why is this happening. I was thinking of the dream. Maybe it wasn't a dream. I noticed that the new younger Liz and Amena were sitting on the couch studying the notes I had written down earlier. I walked over to the couch and sat folding my legs under me.

"I think you're all girl now Teddi!" Liz said jokingly.

"I don't see anything funny about this situation. I've thought about that dream I had. It appears it wasn't a dream but a prophetic vision. Why did it happen to just us? Why were all the males of the Team turned into females? Why the age regression? Why were we regressed to teenagers? Why didn't it effect Kerri, my granddaughter? Although it affected Michael and Judith"

"Well Mom, we've studied your notes closely. The Lady on the dragon was Nimue with Excalibur at her side. We believe that one of the women you visualized was Chyaedar that helped imprison Merlin. We haven't figured out who the other woman was yet. The Place of Dreams means his lair. Only those that could be Season means us or female menstruation. Only maiden those that are maiden means virgins. I guess that leaves me out, oh sorry. To beware those with smooth tongues could mean bureaucrats or Merlin and the deadly traps to his lair. If you are chaste, pure of heart and soul, the Staff would be released to you to use it for good purposes. In other words through Nimue, the team has been age regressed to virgins and females to receive the gift of Draclyon or the Dragon's Staff. Apparently they want all of us to enter the lair. Kerri wasn't altered as she fits into the above criteria and Freddie and Tom are not in actuality part of the team. " Amena said.

"I don't mind the age regression, being in my twenties, but being a teenager again and a virgin. Yech!" Evelyn said with a wicked smile.

"What the hell are you bitching about. Just look at me! I'm about the same age as you!"

"Why you're the cutest looking thing we ever did see! All the boys hearts will be pitter pattering when the see you, Luv." Jamie said with a devious smile.

"Have you looked in a mirror lately? You're what brings on a teenage boys wet dreams, sweetheart."

"All right you two converts we have work to do, so cut the crap. We're going to have to notify the embassy and explain our situation. We need to be documented persons first. Ashley, Lesley, Alva and all the girl's parents have to be notified. That also includes Dr. Jacobs and the university." Liz said.

" If Taylor hears my new voice he'll think someone is pulling a trick on him. I'll have Freddie telephone Taylor immediately. I'm sure he'll contact the Foundation's attorneys. I'll tell him to pick out female names close to your old male names. As well as approximate ages with our old birth dates changing the year of birth. I think Professor Jacobs should be told first through Taylor, and then the parents." Evelyn said.

Miriam and Julie came into the room as Evelyn was speaking carrying a package.

"Here are those Satellite Photos Ted wanted. Where is he?" Miriam said.

"She's over there on the couch." Evelyn said.

Miriam and Julie took a look at me and Jamie and almost fainted. As they composed themselves. Miriam started giggling.

Julie spoke first, "Hi Mom! I'm your youngest daughter Julie. My, but your much too young, to have had me."

"Don't be a wiseass my dear daughter. Wait until your sister's see you they will be envious. Have the two of you looked into a mirror lately? Julie you'd better have a look in your panties. Honey, as a word of advice, don't I repeat, don't try out your new equipment with Freddie yet. Liz and Amena will explain why."

There was a look of questioning on Julie's and Miriam's faces as they went into my bathroom. As I started to open the large ponderous envelope I was suddenly doubled over in pain in the abdominal and crotch area. It was excruciating! As suddenly as it started it stopped. The heavy drops of perspiration were very noticeable on my forehead. Jaime was holding me in her arms as a mother would hold a child.

"Teddi, do you feel better now?" Jaime said with a tremor in her voice.

"I surmise that now we are complete in our metamorphosis?"

"That's the way it happened to me. I just hope that Gerri will be alright in her change." Jaime said with a sadness in her eyes.

I needed to rest! I asked everyone to leave. I was drained both physically and psychologically. Everyone left but Evelyn and Miriam. As I laid on the couch my dearest friends covered me with a light weight blanket. They both sat on the floor next to me holding my hands in theirs not saying a word just staring at me. I wonder what they were thinking?

I finally fell into a fitful sleep that I needed so much after my ordeal. I dreamed again I was not fearful, a calmness that I had never had came over me. I walked through a forrest and into a meadow not knowing where I was going. I was a young female dressed in the finery of a Medieval Lady of the Court. I looked into the skies and saw three dots that continued to become larger in shape. It was the dragon and two wyvern with their riders in saddle upon their backs.

They took to the ground not five feet from where I stood. The Lady Nimue was the one to speak first.

"Our sister has justly arrived in her true new form. We welcome you to the Sisterhood. The Goddess blesses you and yours" Nimue said

"Lady Nimue, I do not understand this divergence from my true from. We are in bewilderment as to this change."

"Sister, that is now your true form and will be until the end of your time. The Goddess has so commanded, we are but her messengers. She is in favor to you and yours quest. We do not question her but do her bidding. Mote It Be." Chyaedar said.

"Many have sought Draclyon and have perished. Their heart's were not true. They were also not of the Sisterhood. Their motives of seeking Draclyon were condescending. The Master's Spirit lives on in that grove, for vengeance against all of us for entombing him for eternity. Myrddin was given gifts from the Mother Goddess which were misused.", Nimue said with a sadness in her tone.

"What is it you want of us?"

"We ask that you take the name of Bri'de. I would prefer Bri'de. That is what I am called. Some call me Brighid (Brigit)Bri'de(Scottish) (Gaelic) Brighid (was the goddess of fertility, therapy, metalworking, and poetic inspiration. She is the wife of Bres.

She is known as Caridwen (Cerridwen) in Wales. There are three sisters by the name of Brigit in Irish myth (daughters of In Dagda) who are the patron-goddesses of learning (poetry), healing and smithcraft). I am one in the same. I am the Patron-Goddess of Learning, Fertility, Therapy, Healing, Inspiration, Metalworking and Poetry.

We ask that you teach the love that the Mother Goddess has for mankind. You have demonstrated that love for friends and family 100 fold.

In the cycles to come, you and your sisters will again show that love to the "Wee Bairnes" you will carry, to fulfill your womanhood. That will be a gift from the Goddess to all of you.

If they be others, they will perish horribly. The spirit of the Master still lives and must remain until vanquished by the Goddess and you my Sisters." Nimue stated.

"We will do as you say. I will warn everyone. Why wasn't the Master Myrddin vanquished many seasons ago? What of the Scrolls and chambers we have found?"

"The Master was vanquished for eternity to pay for his transgressions against the Goddess who gave him his abilities. The Scrolls you have begotten are all but our writings of the Sacred Ones. The Scroll that was hidden is called the "Primus" it is the link to your protection from the Master. It must be read before entering the Grove with all being present repeating its words to cast thyne spell of protection. It must also be chanted at thy location of the Stone of the Sorcerer. Pay no mind to what is heard by thyne ears or ye shall perish." Bri'de said with a soft and loving voice.

"May the Mother Goddess Protect us all!"

"Indeed, the Mother Goddess will, if you are heard by her. Invoke the power of the Scroll of Primus!" Chyaedar said touching my shoulder with her hand.

I suddenly started to feel a warmth I had never felt before, saying, "We do not have the ability to read "Primus". It is of great age and not all perceived."

"Thy ones thee call Miriam and Ashley will help thee. Have patience with them as they are now of the Sisterhood taught by Mother Goddess. Our Sisters Amena, Elizabeth and ye are to invoke the power of "Primus". Thee will form two Pentagrams entwined with thee into the circle of protection, Kimberly and Evelyn at the Center of the Stone of Sorcerers. Elizabeth and Alva at thy Point of Earth. Amena and Brittany at thy Point of North. Miriam and Ashley at thy Point of Fire. Thy one called Gerri and Lesley at thy point of Water. Thy one called Jaime and Lynn at thy Point of Air. Juliet is to be thyne vocal one in the reading.

By thyne Talismans that all wear, thy assemblage will be protected. No demon will harm thee. Myrddin will throughout eternity be vanquished." Nimue stated with a forcefulness to be remembered.

"We will follow your enjoinings. The Mother Goddess will be done. So Mote It Be."

"So Mote It Be." They all chorused

The dream or revelation had I think finished. I slowly stirred from my dream state. Miriam and Evelyn still held my hands. They also appeared to be in a dream like state. As I shifted slightly on the couch they both focused their eyes on me.

"I really like your new name Bri'de. We welcome you also to the Sisterhood. We both were there in your meeting with Nimue, Bri'de, and Chyaedar. We have been asked to help prepare you and the others for their new lives. Guess what! We also have to teach you womanly ways." Evelyn said smiling.

"That will be a chore all by itself." Miriam said grasping my hand and squeezing it.

"Wait a minute! Don't I have anything to say in this matter?"

"No!", They both intoned.

"Honey, we want you to rest for awhile. Your body has gone through a traumatic change." Evelyn said

"Has anyone contacted our Charges families yet? How in the world will we explain their appearance and what happened to them? Do you realize the legalities involved or the Lawsuits?"

"The attorney's have been contacted. They and Taylor are handling it, I'll telephone him after I get downstairs. Do you want me to tell him your new name. By the by, Taylor will be here in a few days. You better make yourself gorgeous then maybe he won't scream.", Evelyn said.

"I love you too! I can't wait to see his face when he casts his eyes on you sweetie. Please send someone to get us all suitable clothing. I really don't have anything to wear."

"Dearie, you will get into the habit of saying those words. When you say that, it's those words that get you the Bank Cards warm and bring you to orgasmic delight." Evelyn said patting my hand.

I felt off balance the whole way there. I was naturally confused and definitely not awake. I tried to grab an appendage that I have known for over forty years I couldn't find it. I was on the verge of panic until I felt a bit more and found a Clitoris, Labia Major and Minor, Urethra and Vagina. Now I was in a full stage of panic until Jaime heard my scream.

The change had taken place in her also. I was at a complete loss. Never in all my years of being a physician had I heard of anything like this happening to anyone except in literature. I rung up an old a friend of mine, also a physician. She was skeptical at first as to identity. Carolyn thought a practical joke was being played on her. That was until I was asked questions only she and I knew the answers to.

When I arrived at her Surgery I thought she was going to pass out at first. We had been intimate on many occasions very close to being married. Carolyn was not prepared fully as to what she saw. After she composed herself and laughed herself to death, we went to Hospital and had a battery of tests run.

As the preliminary results came in Carolyn could not believe them. One after the other concurred that I was a genetic female of about 12.5 years old. I even had an internal physical and pap smear. Gad, what embarrassment!

As a child I had some trauma to my body due to accidents. There was no sign of lesions, scars, or broken bones anywhere. Thanks to the Scotland Yard we also got a copy of my fingerprints for comparison, these too were also different.

Carolyn vouched for me at a Solicitors office along with the Judges in Chambers. I have my license to practice medicine as well as a complete set of identity papers and passport for me. I'm legally Geraldine Joanna Fitzpatrick, M.D. and all those other initials that follow.

I hope you don't mind but Carolyn came back with me to help me run the medical tests on everyone. The lorry is crammed with equipment and supplies. Is Tom About?" Gerri said.

Gerri apparently is taking what had happened to us in stride. Psychologically and emotionally she was very strong. Was it a Facade? I had to explore this possibility a bit further.

"Gerri, tell me how you truly feel. Remember I was the one that hired you and saw you Psyche Sheets."

"When I woke up I was scared and was really panicked. As I was travelling I became more accustomed to my new body. I loved it! I felt the respect and affection of people both male and female that I had never had before. Everyone was willing to help me. Women spoke and tried to protect me that ordinarily would have ignored me. Men made fools of themselves because of my femininity. I felt like I was in total control of myself, my situation and of everyone else.

I even fantasized what it would like to have a man sexually, to be married, to be pregnant, to have children and a family. That was after I found out I could have Monthly Cycles and parturient.

I don't really know what caused our transformations. The scientist in me says to investigate the causes, but the woman in me says to enjoy myself, my new life and age. I feel that this was done to us for a reason. What that reason is I do not know.

We must all help one another to adjust to our situation. We've gained more time on this Earth and if we made mistakes in the past we can correct them." Gerri said.

Evelyn smiled knowingly, embracing Gerri in a sisterly hug said, "Now you now what all women see in life. Most of us want to be pregnant and have children. We normally do love our mates but it's family first. Welcome to the Sisterhood Gerri."

I told Gerri to sit down. She sat on the floor folding her legs under her next to me. Evelyn and I, told Gerri as to our revelation of the Blessed Three of why everything had happened. I could see that Gerri was in deep concentration after our happening.

After several minutes of silence Gerri spoke saying, "I feel that there is a little more to this situation that has not been disclosed yet."

I agreed with her, so did Evelyn. My intuition was acting up. Now I can truthfully say my Woman Intuition was acting up. It kept saying to me that all revolved around the Dragon Staff. I really couldn't. Say it was bad enough our crystals/ruby pendants and the scroll could be used as a very powerful weapon by the unscrupulous. As I ate I wondered what the parent of our charges had to say. I didn't even want to hear from Professor Jacobs. He could be, no change that, he is a royal pain in the ass. As I ate I realized that Birdie had made a massive meal for me I could not finish. There was a knock at the door and Ashley walked in.

As Evelyn spoke and told Ashley of her father's Passing you could see a look of relief on the child's face.

As I said those words she ran to me saying, "Thank you mother, but Auntie Evelyn did it. Do I really look that good!"

I was taken aback a little when Ashley called me mother. In my lifetime I have been called many names, mostly derogatory. This name mother, I liked a great deal! She came into my open arms I hugged her tight to my breast as any mother would do for her child.

I gave her another hug and a kiss. I think my actions spoke louder then my words would have done. She also gave me a kiss, getting up and leaving my room closing the door behind her.

I told them and Taylor about everything that had happened. What I left out Evelyn added including our last revelation that we shared.

You could see the amazement as well as disbelief on their faces as we told our specifics. How could you disbelieve something when the proof is sitting right next to you and around you. We finally concluded our story. There was definitely believement in their faces.

There was another knock at the door. Ashley stepped in.

"Which you and your sisters never did do. Look everyone I'm really tired. Could we visit a little later after I've rested?"

"Sure Mom, we understand. We'll take our baby sister with us and Uncle Taylor.", Kristen said.

"Ashley Honey, could you later bring a scanner and a Laptop upstairs for me to use on the Network. "

"Sure Mother, I love you. We'll see you later. I'll show my big sisters around the house." Ashley said giving me a kiss.

Kristen, Victoria, and Brianna all kissed me goodbye until later and left the room.

Taylor kissed Evelyn and me and left also.

Evelyn helped me to the bed covering me with a light blanket. Then she laid down beside me holding my hand. It didn't take me long to fall asleep. I slept fitfully for several hours. When I awoke Evelyn was gone and my daughter Kristen was at my side with a tray of food.

"I love you girls with all my heart. I have always been so proud of all of you. I can never replace our loss, but I will always be around for all of you. You all honor me by calling me Mom. I guess considering my status I am, even though I could pass for your baby sister."

"I took three rings out of there. I wanted to place it on your fingers personally."

Kristen took my left hand and placed my mother's engagement and wedding ring on my ring finger. Then she took my right hand and placed my mother's Silver Pentagram ring on my finger. Yes, mother was a practitioner of the Craft and the High Priestess of her Coven.
