Soccer Queen

Chapter 5

Samantha was glad that she had decided to take an oblique approach when she discussed David/Davina with Becky. She had started by mentioning the Jerry Springer shows where male guests were transformed into women, or that involved trans- sexuals.

Becky had been a real downer on the subject, calling the guests 'wimps' or 'perverts'. Samantha had no idea what she would have said if she told Becky the truth about Davina. Instead, she had talked about the neat new girl next door, and her sister who would be arriving in two weeks.

Telling Becky that the two would be starting High School with them, Samantha hoped that Davina would still be there when school started. Becky had assumed that they were twins, but Samantha had told her that Davina was starting as a Freshman older than her sister because they had just moved to America and the authorities wanted to start her in an earlier year.

Samantha had watched Davina and her mother leaving their house this morning. She knew it was Davina, because she had seen the two bumps under the 'Blur' tee shirt. She wondered where they were going. With nothing else to do, she had decided to watch a video. She had scoured the video store for something interesting and had found 'Ladybugs'.

She had found the story interesting, with many parallels to her current situation. The boy dressing as a girl to play soccer and help the team win was something she hoped to repeat in real life.

After the video, she had taken her soccer ball out to the front garden again and started practising the moves Davina had shown her yesterday. She looked at Davina's house and wondered where Mr. McCall was. He had apparently had to go in to work, or at least that's what Mrs. McCall had said, but he wasn't back yet.

Either they had a real emergency on their hands at his work, or there was something funny going on.

Samantha looked up and saw Davina and her mother walking down the sidewalk towards their house. They were carrying a whole bunch of bags and was that - yes it was! One of the bags was from Janice's! Then she saw Davina's face and hair - sooo feminine!

Now Samantha was really happy, she just knew that Davina would be around for awhile.

David looked up as he turned onto the path leading up to his house and saw Samantha. He called out "Hi, Samantha, want to come in ?" and walked up the path until he came to the door. His mother arrived then and opened the door for them.

Samantha immediately picked up her ball and ran up the steps behind Davina bursting with curiosity about what they had bought. Davina and her mother carried the bags into Davina's room and threw them on the bed. Mrs. McCall then excused herself, muttering something about needing a cup of coffee.

As she left the room, Samantha turned toward Davina and demanded to know what she had bought. When she saw the skirts and dresses, she immediately suggested that they model the clothes for each other. David was reluctant at first, but eventually gave in to her pleas.

As David was stripping, Samantha said "You seem to be enjoying this. Are you happy with it ?"

David replied in the affirmative, adding "What you started mum has extended." He showed her the nightie under his pillow saying "I either learn to like it, or I'm going to have a miserable time this summer. Since I want to play football with you, I think it's better to like it, don't you ?"

When David had stripped down to his panties, Samantha looked at his crotch and gasped. "What did you do with it ?" she asked. "Tear it off this morning ?"

David shuddered at that thought, and lowered his panties to show her the plaster holding him in place. Samantha examined his confined member, and asked him where he had got the idea from. He shrugged and said "I remembered last night, and what happened when I put your panties on, so I thought I'd better keep it out of the way. I found these plasters in the bathroom, and they seem to be doing the trick."

Samantha was impressed by the thoroughness of David's solution. From what she could see, he could still pee comfortably, even if he had to sit. "Is that comfortable ?" she asked him.

David replied "Yes, but the problem is that it gets wet every time I pee. I end up using loads of toilet paper to dry the plaster and the area between my legs."

"Welcome to one of the discomforts of being a girl," Samantha told him. "I have to wipe myself, and not only for comfort. Girls can get a nasty infection down there if we don't keep ourselves clean."

David got a weird feeling hearing Samantha talk about feminine hygiene. This whole situation was just getting stranger and stranger.

After they had modelled all the clothes, David's mother called him for tea. Samantha asked him if he wanted to go to the mall later. David had no idea what she meant, but since he wanted to spend time with her, he readily agreed.

As Samantha left the house, she asked Mrs. McCall if they could go out later. Mrs. McCall answered "OK, as long as Davina is back by eleven." Samantha called out "see you later" to Davina and ran back to her own house.

Once there, she immediately called Becky and asked her to meet them in the mall at seven. Becky suggested that she invite the boys as well, she wanted to see Ted. Samantha reckoned that they could watch a movie and maybe have something to eat before Davina's curfew.

Samantha then called Jim, and asked him if he wanted to see a movie that night. When he responded in the positive, she told him about the new girl next door, and asked him to invite Ted and an unattached boy for the new girl.

After finishing her dinner, she walked back to Davina's house and rang the bell. Davina answered the door wearing one of her new skirts and the white flats.

"I didn't think wearing the heels would have been a good idea." David explained. He then called out to her mother that they were going out, and she would be back by eleven.

As they waited for the bus, Samantha told Davina all about Becky, who they would be meeting at the mall. Explaining Becky's attitude to cross-dressing, she warned David that he must react like a girl to every situation. She also told him about the boys she had invited.

David was terrified - they were going to meet boys, and he had to react as a girl!

When they arrived at the mall, which David discovered was just another name for the shopping centre he had been in earlier, they met a girl about the same age as Samantha. She was about 5'4" tall and had a spectacular figure. With her red hair and freckles, she was just the type of girl David would normally have been lusting after.

However, remembering Samantha's earlier words, he strove not to stare at the new girl.

Samantha introduced David to Becky, and they hugged each other in welcome. Figuring that he may have inadvertently looked too hard at Becky, David complimented her on her outfit. She was wearing a black miniskirt and a white sleeveless top. On her feet, she had black pumps with 3" heels. Her jacket was a black leather cut to compliment her figure, which David thought was rather large for a fourteen year old.

Once all the greetings had been taken care of, they walked round the mall to the cinema complex, and joined the queue for tickets. While they were waiting, three boys about their own age came up to say hello. The boys towered over David, the smallest being easily 5'6".

They introduced themselves, and immediately paired up with the girls. Ted linked arms with Becky, Jim kissed Samantha on the cheek, and David was left standing as Jack approached. David nervously waited as Jack took his hand.

"You're the shy one, aren't you ?" asked Jack. David mumbled a reply and hung his head. *Jeez,* David thought. *These guys are probably going to be in school with us next year. I'm dead if I turn up as David, now.*

All through the movie, Jack kept his arm around David's shoulders. When Jack tried to place his hand on David's knee, it was gently but firmly removed. Jack thought that this was just a shy and inexperienced girl, so decided not to push too hard yet. He did, however, pull her towards him and kiss her full on the mouth.

David was stunned. He had only kissed a few girls before, and it had not prepared him for the intensity of Jack's assault. For a few seconds, he stiffened and tried to push Jack away. Jack persisted, however, and eventually David found himself melting into Jack's arms.

When he felt Jack's hand reaching for his leg again, however, he realised that he could not let his secret be discovered. So, he pushed Jack away and removed the hand from his knee, telling Jack that he wasn't that type of girl.

Becky had been observing them, and thought the new girl was very pretty, but also more than a little bit shy. She decided that the new girl could do with some lessons in handling boys.

After the movie, they went to the food court and found a table with six seats where they could all sit together. They looked at the menu to see what was available.

David remembered that his mother had advised him not to eat greasy foods. Having just eaten his tea, however, he was not too hungry. He therefore ordered a salad when their waiter approached. The other two girls ordered the same. Other two girls ?* thought David. *Maybe I'm already thinking of myself as a girl.*

The boys ordered the house speciality burgers with large portions of fries. All of them ordered a soft drink, but David was frustrated that they didn't know what Irn Bru was. He settled for a diet Coke.

While they were waiting for their orders, they chatted about themselves. David gave a brief personal history - that he had just arrived from Scotland, and would be starting High School that year - without mentioning his sex. He showed everyone his necklace, and the boys were very impressed when they saw the championships David had won the previous year.

David then turned the conversation round to Jack, who he discovered to be a keen sportsman. He had been a quarterback for his junior school's football team. Again, David didn't understand anything about American football, but he thought it better not to interrupt.

Listening to Jack describe his feats on the football field and in baseball, David realised that Jack was someone he could have been great friends with. They were both keen sportsmen, although with different sports, and Jack's quiet intensity impressed him greatly. However, with the way he was dressed, David also realised that he would have a different kind of relationship with Jack.

Some time during Jack's monologue their food arrived, and they started eating as they continued talking.

David could see that Ted and Becky, and Jim and Samantha had been dating for some time. It was apparent in the looks they gave each other, and the way they held hands almost constantly.

After they had finished eating, Samantha indicated that he should join her and Becky as they went to the ladies. By this time, David was getting comfortable in the role of a girl, so he joined them without hesitation.

Once they were inside the bathroom, Becky immediately began giving David some advice about handling boys. When he protested that he really wasn't interested in boys, Becky said

"Oh, girlfriend. When you look like that" and she pointed in a mirror "then the boys are going to notice you. You'd better be able to handle them."

And continued giving him advice.

After they had all done their business in the stalls, Samantha lent David her lipstick and told him to freshen up. Since this was a different shade from the one he was currently wearing, he first wiped off all the lipstick he had on. Then he applied the new colour as he had seen the cosmetologist and his mother do.

Becky commented about his lack of jewellery - she had noticed the sleeper studs in his ears and assumed he had just got his ears pierced. The only other jewellery the girl seemed to have was the very beautiful necklace that told of her achievements on the sporting field. *I'll have to teach her to wear jewellery* thought Becky.

She asked Davina where all her jewellery was. David thought about that, and realised that he had better come up with a good excuse. He told Becky that the airline had lost the case with all his jewellery in it, so he would have to buy more, but couldn't afford much at the present time. He explained how the football necklace was so valuable for sentimental reasons, he had carried it with him, so it had not been lost.

Once they were ready, they left the bathroom and approached their table. The boys all rose at their approach and gathered their coats. Then they held the girl's coats for them, saying that they had paid the bill.

The boys asked the girls if they wanted to go dancing. David looked at his watch, and noticed that it was approaching 10:30. He was surprised - it didn't feel that so much time had passed. He had enjoyed himself immensely.

Explaining to the boys that he had to be in before eleven - he was still suffering from jet lag. Ted immediately offered him a lift, and they all crammed into Ted's car. This was an old clunker that David thought should be immediately sent to the retirement home for old cars (the scrap yard). He didn't say anything, though, so as to avoid trouble.

When they reached David's house, both he and Samantha got out of the car and kissed their dates goodnight.

David noticed his dad's car in the driveway, and worried about what he was going to say. He didn't think his dad would approve, but too much had happened to stop now. What with Becky and the boys, he would be lucky to have any friends if he tried to go anywhere as a boy.

When he entered the house, his mother held her finger to her lips and pointed at the master bedroom.

"Your dad has been working without sleep since he was called in, and he really needs his sleep. Just get yourself ready and we can talk about your evening."

David complied, and in a few minutes returned to the front room wearing his nightie and his new slippers. As he sat down he twisted on the couch and tucked his legs beneath himself with a natural-seeming movement.

His mother asked where they went and if he had enjoyed himself.

David replied that they had gone to the mall and met with one of Samantha's friends, Becky. He then really surprised his mother by telling her about the boys they met and what had happened.

When he mentioned kissing Jack, a slight smile appeared on Andrea's lips. *This is going better than I expected* she thought.

David then said goodnight, and turned to walk to his room. As he was walking, he remembered his mother's smile and wondered what it meant. Would he ever be a boy again ?
