The Substitute
By Victor
Chapter Four
Jimmy couldn’t sleep at all that night. He tried
not to think about it, but the image of Darien giving fellatio to Tony on the
couch kept floating through his mind. He turned over and over in the bed,
trying to no avail to block it out. He drifted off to dream once or twice,
creating a scene in which he was the one on the couch being pleasured by
‘Ellen’. But then he would wake and curse himself silently for thinking such
things.
After fighting it for half the night,
Jimmy gave up and got out of bed, even though it was at least an hour before he
usually woke in the morning. He felt his stomach rumble and went downstairs for
a bowl of cereal. The kitchen was empty, but on the table were several of
Ellen’s makeup bottles and a small, lighted mirror. A lipstick-stained,
half-full coffee cup and an ashtray emptied from the night before told him that
Darien was up as well, and probably well on his way to looking like Ellen once
more.
Jimmy made himself a bowl of cereal
and had just sat down to eat when ‘Ellen’ walked in, wearing only a pink silk
bathrobe over her curves. She looked as beautiful as always, and had already
skillfully applied an entire face of makeup, painted her nails, and styled her
hair. Jimmy looked at her questioningly, unsure if he should ask.
“Yeah, it’s me,” she said in Darien’s voice,
“She’s still in Barbados.”
Jimmy remained silent and continued eating,
not sure if he was ready for the real Ellen to return just yet after what he’d
witnessed the night before Darien prepared himself a fresh cup of coffee, sat
down and lit a cigarette. Jimmy couldn’t help but notice how the robe rode up
his thigh when Darien crossed his shapely, smooth legs.
“So, do you want to talk about it?” Darien asked.
“Not right now, I’m eating. Maybe later,” Jimmy
replied awkwardly, unable to look Darien in the eye, unsure of what to say. He
still felt terribly embarrassed.
Darien nodded, thinking how best to
respond when the phone rang. Relieved, he got up and answered in Ellen’s voice.
It was his father.
“Hello?… Oh, hi Jeff!” Darien said, as pleasantly
as possible and showing no sign of hesitation. “How’s Denver?…Really? Well, it
sounds like you're having a good time…When are you coming home?…Well, do you
need someone to pick you up from the airport Sunday night?… Okay, if you're
sure, but it wouldn't be a problem…Oh, no, he’s been absolutely perfect! I wish
Jimmy could be as well behaved...Oh, thank you! You’re so sweet to say that!”
Darien winked at Jimmy, who felt a little
uncomfortable watching his friend subtly flirt with his own father. But he knew
that Darien meant nothing by it, he was just staying in character and acting
the way Ellen would have had she been there talking to Jeff. Watching the faux
Ellen in conversation, he thought to himself that if the real Ellen hadn’t
fallen in love with Carl, she and Jeff might have gotten together, making he
and Darien stepbrothers, after a fashion.
“…Sure, just a second,” Darien
continued, still in Ellen’s voice, “… Okay, I’ll talk to you later, hon. Have a
nice flight back!…Darien!”
He pulled the phone away from his mouth for a
moment, covering the receiver. He cleared his throat and tried out his own
voice. He sneaked another puff on the cigarette, exhaled, and then put it out
in the ashtray. He raised the receiver and spoke as himself.
“Hello?…Hey, Dad! How’s it going?…Cool! So when
are you coming home?”
Jimmy silently watched the extremely surreal
image of Darien’s voice coming from Ellen’s mouth. He still wasn't quite used
to it. He stared at the gorgeous, mature woman before him, trying desperately
to see the teenaged boy beneath. It didn’t work. Sensing the reaction beginning
in his boxers, he left the kitchen in a hurry to avoid embarrassment. He went
upstairs and threw on a pair of sweatpants. It was still early, and he figured
it was a good time for a quick jog. Besides, at the moment he definitely had
the energy to spare.
Jimmy returned from his run to find Tony in his
shower. Jimmy wanted to talk to him about the night before, but was interrupted
by Darien’s call to come downstairs. He walked down the stairs and into Ellen’s
bedroom to see his disguised friend clad only in his corset, padded girdle and
bra and nude sheer hose. Darien held up two feminine outfits, one a rather
stylish smoky gray turtleneck sweater dress, the other a more businesslike
green jacket and skirt that complemented the false color of his contact-lensed
eyes rather well.
“What do you think? Which one do you
like?” Darien asked in Ellen’s voice as held up each of the outfits in front of
him in the mirror to see how they would look.
Jimmy paused. He wasn’t really
sure how to answer. “Wow, I don’t know. You - I mean Ellen - looks pretty good
in both of them. But isn’t the suit a bit much?”
Darien continued perusing the outfits. “Maybe,
but I just remembered I have a parent conference with Jaime Harris’ mother this
afternoon and I’d like to look nice.”
Jimmy froze. Jaime Harris was his ex-girlfriend.
She’d broken up with him a few months before, during summer vacation. Jimmy was
still a little shaken up by it, and hadn’t really dated anyone else since then.
He did still feel a little protective of her, however.
“Look, Darien,” Jimmy said flatly, “Don’t go
making things hard for Jaime in this conference, okay? Just play it straight.”
“Don’t worry, sweetie,” Darien replied lightly,
ignoring Jimmy’s concern. He decided on the suit after switching the outfits in
the mirror several more times. “Jaime may be a bit of a bitch and I may not
like her very much, but I would never use Ellen’s identity for personal
revenge.”
“Isn’t that what you’re doing with Timmerman?”
Darien’s false painted lips smiled broadly. He
laughed gently, caught in his hypocrisy. He picked a white cotton blouse from
Ellen’s closet and put it on.
“Well, yes and no,” he said, deftly buttoning it
up, “What I’ve got planned for that idiot is for Ellen’s benefit as much as
mine.”
Darien pulled the skirt up around his waist,
tucked in the blouse, and zipped it up.
"How does this look?" he asked
innocently, turning around in a small circle.
Jimmy looked him over critically. He couldn’t
help but notice Darien’s perfectly padded behind as he slowly turned around.
Tony was right. ‘She’ did indeed have a very nice ass. The skirt Darien had
chosen showed off its false curves very nicely.
Darien slipped into the jacket and then faced his
friend. The two looked at each other for an awkward, silent moment. Jimmy felt
a sudden urge to step forward and kiss the amazingly beautiful woman who faced
him. In that single moment, he didn’t care who it really was, his best friend,
his aunt, whoever. But then he remembered the sound of Darien’s voice coming
from those lovely lips and he took a tentative step back. He shook his head,
trying to clear his thoughts, then walked away, mumbling something about going
upstairs for a shower.
Darien smiled to himself as he
watched Jimmy’s clumsy exit. His plan was taking effect. Just a little while
longer and it would all come together.
Conscious of his hosed feet on the carpet, Darien
turned to Ellen’s closet to find the right pair of shoes to go with his outfit.
He looked through Ellen’s collection and grinned, as if he was a child alone in
a toy store. If Ellen had one other vice aside from smoking, it would be her
love of shoe shopping. She had every kind of footwear imaginable, for almost
every occasion. Stylish open-toed sandals or high-heeled pumps perfect for a
night out on the town. Several pairs of expensive leather boots in different
colors to go with cooler weather ensembles. Casual flats or running shoes for
days when she didn’t feel like heels.
Fortunately for Darien, his small
feet would fit into any of them. Puberty had been kind to him so far, he joked
to himself. He looked over the selection carefully for several minutes, wishing
he could try them all on. Sighing, he picked an elegant pair of white leather
pumps with 3-inch heels. They’d perfectly complement the elegant business look
of the feminine suit he wore.
He looked through Ellen’s jewelry box
and picked out a pair of small hoop earrings and a bracelet, all in real gold.
He fit the earrings into his ears, smiling at the thought of how upset his
father had been when he had both of them pierced a couple of months ago. He
slipped on the bracelet around his slender wrist, and then stepped back to take
in his reflection. Was this right? No, not quite. Nice, but not nice enough.
He looked through the dresser
drawers, and then pulled out one of Ellen’s favorite floral print silk scarves.
Smiling, he tied it around his neck, and then adjusted it over his shoulders.
He walked to the mirror, and studied his reflection. He struck a very confident
pose, placing his hands on his padded hips.
"Absolutely perfect. God, Ellen, you are one
sexy little bitch," he said in admiration, using Ellen's voice.
"Yes you are," said Tony from behind
him.
Darien whirled around to see Tony leaning on the
bedroom doorway, grinning from ear to ear. He had borrowed some of Jimmy's
clothes for school, but his hair was still slightly wet from the shower. He
walked forward with a cocky adolescent stride. He started to wrap his arms
around Darien’s waist.
"So, gorgeous, how about a morning
kiss?" Tony said. He leaned forward, but Darien pulled away.
"No, Tony!" he yelled in his own voice,
pushing the boy back.
"What? What the hell's the matter with
you?" Tony asked in irritation, “What about last night?”
"Look," Darien said calmly, still in
his own voice, "Last night was nice, but it was a mistake and I'm sorry it
happened. We should never have done that."
"Then why did you do it?"
Darien looked at him levelly and
crossed his arms across his padded chest.
"I think we both had a little too much to
drink, don’t you? Let's just leave it at that.”
"But I thought…"
"Mr. Kincer," Darien interrupted
sternly as Ellen, "It's not up for debate. You got to have one night with
Ellen. Don't be greedy."
Tony frowned for a moment, then smirked.
"Yeah, you're right. I guess I'll never get
a chance like that with the real Ellen."
"So I can still count on you not saying a
word about my little charade?"
"Of course. I don't want to get you or Ellen
in any trouble. The two of you are the most beautiful woman I know!"
Darien laughed as he hugged Tony and kissed him
lightly on the cheek.
"Oh my dear, sometimes you can say the
sweetest things. Now be a sweetheart and tell Jimmy to hurry up. We don't want
to be late."
Later that day, in fourth period, Darien sat
behind Ellen’s desk, legs crossed, pretending to grade a set of tests she had
prepared for him to give out the day before. He wore a duplicate of Ellen’s
designer reading glasses, although the lenses were just non-prescription clear
plastic and didn’t affect his vision. It was merely for the effect of the
disguise.
He wasn’t really grading his
classmates’ papers, just going over them casually as if her were their real
teacher. He wanted to impersonate Ellen to the fullest extent of his abilities,
but he left something as important as her students’ grades to a woman actually
qualified to teach. She’d grade them when she got back.
Her class sat in front of him,
silently reading from their textbooks. All save for Tony and Jimmy. Tony would
stare at him every once in a while, his eyes glancing up over his open book.
He'd grin lasciviously, but Darien would only shake his head slightly, and wag
his finger at him. Tony just shrugged his shoulders and went back to reading.
Jimmy, however, genuinely tried to
read from his textbook, but eventually looked up at Darien, worry in his
trusting brown eyes. He smiled clumsily at Darien, who smiled back in a sweet,
reassuring manner, feeling a little sorry for Jimmy. Darien silently mouthed
the words "It's okay", and went back to "grading papers".
Jimmy nodded and turned his attention back to his book, attempting to read.
The bell finally rang and the
students rose from their desks and filed out of the classroom. Jimmy walked
over to Ellen's desk and noted with slight annoyance that Tony did the same
instead of leaving. Darien stood up and slung Ellen's leather purse over his
shoulder.
"Okay, Jimmy," he said,
staying in feminine character, "I have a parent conference this afternoon,
so do you think you can find a ride home?"
"No problem. I'll take him home,
D-" Tony began.
"Tony!" Jimmy whispered
forcefully, looking over his shoulder at the students walking past. He'd been
waiting for Tony to screw up like that. Darien shot Tony a warning glance
"Sorry,” Tony said
apologetically, “I'll take him home, 'Miss Spiller'."
Jimmy rolled his eyes. He wasn't sure
he wanted to be alone with Tony just yet. Darien looked at Jimmy's reaction and
smiled.
"Okay, but no speeding you two.
You promise, Mr. Kincer?" he asked, motioning for the two boys to follow
him from the room.
"Yeah, okay," Tony replied
dejectedly.
"Very well then," Darien
said, "That's settled. Make sure you come back by here before you guys
leave. I’ll give you some gas money, Tony, since I know it’s out of your
way."
Later that day, they returned to
Ellen's classroom to find Darien engaged in a conversation with an attractive,
sharply dressed woman in a well-tailored navy blue pantsuit and stylish heels.
She was around the same age as Ellen with a trim, athletic body. Her dark brown
hair was styled in a shoulder length pageboy cut that framed her mature yet
still beautiful features quite well, calling attention to her stunning blue
eyes. Mary Harris was another older woman the boys of Stevenson High liked to
fantasize about when they weren't thinking about Ellen. She exchanged
pleasantries with Jimmy and Tony, and then 'Ellen' excused them for a moment,
taking the boys out into the hall.
"Ok, now, I don't know how long
this going to take, so here's $20," Darien said, cautiously staying in
Ellen’s voice within the school halls. He opened his purse and handed Jimmy
some money. "Order a pizza or something if it seems like I'll be late.
I'll call you from my cell phone and let you know what’s going on.”
"Cool! I love pizza!" Tony
chimed in, "How about sausage and onions?"
Darien let out a small sigh of
frustration. He handed Tony a $10 bill.
"Tony, I appreciate you taking
Jimmy home, and here’s some money for the gas, but please don't stay, okay?
Jimmy has a math test tomorrow, and he really needs to study."
Jimmy looked over in surprise,
inwardly happy that Darien was trying to get rid of Tony for him. After the
previous night, he still wasn’t ready to hang out with Tony again.
"Yeah," Jimmy said,
agreeing with Darien a little too emphatically, "Besides, won't your
parents want you to come home sometime?"
Tony looked down in dejection.
"Okay, but I still think we need
to party one night," he mumbled.
Darien scowled. "Just be careful
on the way home, okay?" he said. He leaned in and gave the boys goodbye
hugs, then turned and went back into Ellen's classroom for the parent
conference.
The ride home was rather quiet and
very awkward. Jimmy didn't feel like talking and Tony wasn't sure just what to
say. Jimmy’s teenaged male best friend had given him oral sex while perfectly
disguised as his adult aunt. How do you even bring up something like that?
Finally, after several uncomfortable
minutes had passed, Jimmy broke the silence. His voice was very even and
deliberate. He continued to stare at the road ahead as he spoke.
"That's not going to happen
again. I hope you know that."
Tony gave him a sideways curious
glance.
"Yeah? You figure?"
"Yeah. I do," Jimmy replied
tersely.
Tony smirked, but didn’t continue the
conversation. What was Jimmy's problem? Was he being protective or jealous or
paranoid?
Jimmy didn't say another word for the
rest of the ride and neither did Tony. When they pulled into Ellen’s driveway,
Jimmy got out of the car with a silent nod of appreciation for the ride. Tony
just sped off, laughing to himself about Jimmy's erratic behavior.
Once inside the house, Jimmy knew he needed
to study, but he turned on the TV and sat on the floor. He tried not to think
about Ellen or Darien or Tony or any of the events of the past two days. He
tried to turn it all off and just focus on nothing when the phone rang.
"Jimmy, sweetie?" asked
Ellen's voice, apparently coming from a cellular phone. Jimmy paused for a
moment, unsure of how to answer. Which Ellen was this?
"Uh, hi, Aunt Ellen," he
said hesitantly.
"Is Darien there?"
Jimmy exhaled in relief, glad to hear
from his real aunt.
"Aunt Ellen? Is that really you?
Oh my god, what’s going on? Why didn’t you guys tell me what you were up to?”
"Oh, honey, I’m so terribly
sorry. Is everything okay?” she asked with genuine concern in her voice.
“I’m not sure” he replied in
confusion, “I mean, nothing’s gone wrong, if that’s what you mean.”
“I know this must be really strange
for you and I am deeply sorry for putting you through all this. But I don’t
have a lot of time to talk, sweetie. We’ve been having problems with this
phone. Are you sure you’re okay?”
“Yeah, I’m fine. Are you guys all
right?”
“Well, we had a bit of a scare
yesterday. Carl's dad had some unexpected complications and we spent all day
yesterday at the hospital in the Intensive Care Unit. That’s why I didn’t call
yesterday. I thought we were going to lose him. We were so worried."
"Is Carl’s dad okay?" Jimmy
asked, forgetting his own concerns.
"We think he ‘ll pull through,
thank god. They’re letting him go at the end of the week. Is Darien there? I’d
really like to talk to him and see how he’s handled everything."
"He’s not here, Aunt Ellen.
…He’s in a parent/teacher conference with Mrs. Harris."
There was a slight pause. Jimmy could
hear the hiss of the cell phone in the silence.
"Oh my god, I completely
forgot!" Ellen said in horror, “Do you think he’ll be all right in an
up-close situation with an adult like that?”
"It's okay, Aunt El,” Jimmy said, “I’m sure he can handle it.
He’s done great so far." He decided against telling Ellen of their run-in
with her ex-husband the night before.
Another silent pause passed through the receiver as
Jimmy heard the sound of Ellen's lighter as she lit a cigarette.
“Sweetie,” she said in concern, exhaling, “Have I
done something really stupid? Somehow it made sense at the time, but now...I
just can't believe I let Darien talk me into doing this, just so I could get
away for a couple days?”
Jimmy wasn’t sure how to reply. How could he answer
a question like that? And after she had trained Darien for two months
apparently, wasn’t it a little late for second thoughts? But given the
uniqueness of the situation, he could understand what Ellen must be feeling. He
cringed at the idea of someone trying to impersonate him. His aunt's
reputation – her whole life – was at Darien's mercy.
“Well,” he began reassuringly, “I
don’t think you had much of a choice. You had to have somebody fill in for you,
and since Darien can imitate you so well, it kind of makes sense I guess. It
was either that or lose your job.”
He heard Ellen take an angry drag on
her cigarette, then exhale. “Well, I should have just quit instead of letting
Superintendent Schumacher treat me like that. He knows the severity of my
situation, but he had to be a complete… jerk about it.”
Jimmy smiled at Ellen’s near use of
profanity. “Try not to worry about it. Darien’s doing an amazing job. No one
suspects a thing. He can cover for you until you get back.”
“Are you sure? You don’t think I need
to come home?"
"No, don't!” Jimmy replied -
just a little too quickly, “You just try and help Carl and his family out,
okay? And try and have a little fun, if you can."
“We’ll try,” she said, a hint of sadness in her
voice. “Listen, I want you to know I really am sorry about all this. This was
all too much to ask, for Darien and for you and now I feel terrible.”
“I’m fine, really. So’s Darien. You just take care
of everything down there, okay?”
“Okay, sweetie! I have to go now, the
phone’s cutting out. I love you! Goodbye!"
“Love you, too. Bye!”
Jimmy hung up the phone and looked
around the house. The call had taken him by surprise. Caught up in the events
of the past two days, he hadn't thought about Ellen not calling and explaining
things, but he was glad to hear from her. He was relieved to know that she was
all right.
He picked up his math book and sat back down in
front of the TV. He glanced at the pages but found it difficult to focus. All
he could think about was Darien and his uncanny ability to perfectly mimic his
Aunt Ellen. His disguise was perfect. His friend was beyond beautiful and this
confused and frustrated him. After several failed attempts to absorb the
material, he gave up and ordered a pizza. Screw studying. He passed the time
by playing a video game. Not long afterwards, the pizza arrived and he settled
in to eat when the phone rang again. It was Darien. He was calling in Ellen’s
voice from a cell phone. He was calling from a moving car, judging from the
background noise.
“Jimmy, sweetie?” he said, “I won’t
be home for a while, Mary and I are going to go out for a drink. Will you be
all right?”
“Yeah, sure, I’ll be fine!” Jimmy
said, wondering what Darien was up to. “Are you with Mrs. Harris right now?”
“Yes, I am. I’ll be home a little
later, okay, sweetie? Be good!”
“I will. Stay out of trouble, okay?”
he tried to keep his answers as normal as possible, just in case Mrs. Harris
could overhear their conversation.
“Oh don’t worry, it’s just a harmless
girl’s night out. Mary and I just wanted a chance to catch up on old times.
Bye!”
Jimmy hung up the phone, and went
back to eating. Now Darien was going out for a drink with his ex-girlfriend’s
mother! He was angry at Darien for endangering his disguise, but it was out of
his hands. But then again, Darien was utterly convincing as Ellen. He could
pull it off. It was just gossip and a couple of drinks somewhere. After all,
he’d fooled David, Ellen’s ex-husband, long enough for an intimate slow dance.
A mere casual acquaintance like Mrs. Harris wouldn’t be able to spot any flaws
in Darien’s masquerade.
Jimmy finished his pizza and hit the books. Time
began to pass. The equations began to make sense. He actually felt as if he
was making some progress. He had pushed Darien and his skillful cross-dressing
completely from his mind when the doorbell rang. He got up, irritated at the
interruption. He grumbled to himself that it had better not be Tony. He yanked
the door open a little more forcefully than he had intended, startling the
attractive woman on the porch. It was Mrs. Talavera.
Jimmy paused in surprise, taking in the sight of
her. She looked stunning. Her long, curly black hair fell past her shoulders,
framing her beautiful olive-skinned features. Her makeup was tastefully applied
for a nice night out on the town. The red polish on her long nails matched her
painted lips. She wore a black leather swing coat over a blue silk blouse and a
charcoal gray pencil skirt that came to her knees. Sheer black hose encased her
lovely slender legs all the way down to a pair of black leather pumps with
three-inch heels. It was a conservative yet sexy look, one that took Jimmy’s
breath away. It was outfits like this that helped fuel his teenage crush on
her, making it hard to concentrate in her math class.
“Oh, Jimmy! You scared me!” she said,
somewhat flustered.
“I’m really sorry, Mrs. Talavera. I thought you
were someone else,” he replied, terribly embarrassed.
“Is Ellen here?” she asked.
“Uh, no, she’s in a parent/teacher conference,”
Jimmy replied. He didn’t want to tell her ‘Ellen’ was out having a drink with
Mrs. Harris. He feared Gina might just join them and somehow see through
Darien’s disguise.
Mrs. Talavera looked down at the slim
gold watch on her wrist and arched her eyebrows in surprise.
“Wow, this late? I went by
her classroom before I left and she was still there with Mrs. Harris. But it
would have to be over by now. I wonder where she went?”
Jimmy shrugged his
shoulders.
“Well, I’m not sure, Mrs. Talavera.”
She looked at Jimmy and smiled
warmly.
“We’re not at school now, Jimmy. You
can call me Gina. Can I come in?”
“Sure, please… Gina,” Jimmy said,
mentally chastising himself for his lack of manners. He opened the door wider
for her. She grinned at him.
“See? That wasn’t so hard, was it?”
She tapped Jimmy’s nose playfully with a long red-painted nail and entered the
house.
Jimmy took her coat, hanging it on a
rack in the hallway. His breath shortened and his chest tightened as he saw the
shape of Gina’s near perfect breasts beneath the blouse. The outfit she wore
showed off her fantastic body very well.
“So, what are you doing here all by
yourself?” she asked as she walked into the living room.
“Studying for your test, actually,”
he replied, hoping to score some brownie points.
She smiled slightly. “Oh, that’s
right. Would you like some help?”
“You’d help me study?” Jimmy asked in
surprise, wondering to himself if he’d actually be able to with Gina right
there.
“Sure. Robert ‘s working late and
cancelled our dinner plans. So I got dressed up for nothing and I was alone,
too. Might as well make it a productive night, right?”
“Sure, if you’d like to help, Mrs. -
”
She gently put a finger on his lips.
“Gina. Right now, it’s just Gina. I know Ellen wants you to call me ‘Mrs. Talavera’,
even away from school, but I’d rather you didn’t. I mean, I’m your aunt’s best
friend, after all. You and I see enough of each other, we should be more
informal off the clock. Don’t you think?”
She sat down on the couch and crossed
her legs. Jimmy noticed her skirt slide up slightly, exposing part of her
smooth, lean thighs.
“So, are you ready to study?” she
asked him.
“Actually,” he said, stalling for a
moment to compose himself, “I’m going to get something to drink. Would you like
anything?”
“Sure. A glass of white wine, if
Ellen has any.”
Jimmy nodded, then slipped off into
the kitchen to fix himself a Coke, then poured Gina a glass from one Ellen’s
favorite bottles of Chardonnay. He made sure to use a nice wineglass. Before he
went back into the living room, he urged himself to calm down, everything would
be okay. He just couldn’t believe it, his really hot teacher was here to help
him study.
Oh, man so I’m screwed, he told
himself. There’s no way I’ll be able to concentrate with her here.
He resigned himself to failing the
test when another thought occurred to him. What if Darien comes home? Could
they keep fooling Gina? At school, in front of a whole bunch of people was one
thing, but this was more personal. What if Gina starts talking about personal
things Darien doesn’t know? The thought of getting caught made him even more
nervous.
“Jimmy? Do you need any help?” Gina
called from the living room.
“No, Mrs. – I mean Gina. I’m coming,”
he answered. He picked up the glasses with slightly trembling hands and made
his way to the couch. He handed Gina her wine and sat down next to her.
She thanked him for the wine and took
a small sip, leaving a red lipstick stain on the wineglass. She noticed Jimmy’s
uneasiness.
“Are you all right? You seem a little
nervous. It’s okay, I promise I won’t bite. I’m only here to help.”
“Okay, Gina,” Jimmy replied, trying to settle down, “It’s just a
little weird, you helping me. It’s kind of unfair to the other students.”
“Well, what they don’t know won’t
hurt them, right?” She laughed and flipped her long black hair over her
shoulder, then leaned in over the math book on the coffee table.
Jimmy laughed nervously back, but it
didn’t allay his fears. He felt an urge to reach over and gulp down her glass
of wine, anything to settle his nerves. He turned his attention to the math
book, and the two of them began going over the material for tomorrow’s test.
About an hour later, Gina asked to
take a break. Jimmy was glad; he really wasn’t absorbing the material and was
just enjoying Gina’s attention, even if it was wasted on geometry. She pulled a
cell phone from her purse, dialed a number and waited.
“Hi, honey, it’s me,” she said after
a moment, “No, that’s okay, I understand… I’m over at Ellen’s… Yeah, I’ll be
home later, okay?… I love you, too... I’ll see you in a little while! Bye!”
She closed the cell phone and
returned it to her purse.
“Okay, now we have all the time we
need to get you prepared.”
Jimmy nodded and smiled, wondering
how much longer he’d be alone with Gina before Darien got home.
Another hour had passed when Jimmy
worriedly looked at the ornate clock on the wall. Where in the hell was Darien?
Gina noticed his look of concern.
“It’s getting pretty late. Do you
want me to call her?” she asked, reaching into her purse.
“No, it’s okay. She’ll be home in a
little bit, I’m sure.”
Gina gave him a knowing glance.
“Jimmy,” she coaxed gently, “Do you
know where she is?”
Jimmy didn’t want to lie to her
again. She was spending her night helping him, after all. It wasn’t fair to lie
to her.
“Yes, ma’am,” he said, looking away,
“She’s out with Mrs. Harris.”
She smiled warmly at him. “Why didn’t
you tell me that?”
Jimmy thought for a moment, trying to
come up with something. This time, he realized he had to lie.
“Well,” he began meekly, hoping she
would believe him, “I guess I didn’t want to hurt your feelings, with Aunt
Ellen having a girls’ night out with someone else.”
Gina began laughing. “Oh, Jimmy,
that’s so sweet. No, I don’t mind at all. She can’t do everything with me.
Don’t worry, I won’t hold it against Ellen or Mrs. Harris.”
Jimmy was embarrassed, but felt
inwardly relieved. She’d bought his little white lie.
“Didn’t you go out with her daughter
Jaime? I thought I’d seen you two together in the halls,” Gina said.
“I used to,” he replied glumly, “She
broke up with me a few months ago.”
“Did I bring up a bad memory? I’m
sorry.”
“No, it’s okay. Really.”
“Well, honey, if it’s any
consolation, she made a big mistake. You’re really smart and cute. You’ll find
a nice girlfriend in no time.”
Jimmy was completely taken aback by
Gina’s compliment.
“Thanks,” Jimmy said, turning bright
red with embarrassment.
She smiled at his awkwardness and
looked at him tenderly. “You know, Jimmy, you really are growing up to be a
handsome young man. In fact, I’ll bet you’ll have quite a few girlfriends.
You’ll be a little heartbreaker.”
“Thanks…Gina,” he stammered, “That’s
really nice of you to say. But I don’t know. I haven’t dated anyone since Jaime
Harris broke up with me.”
“Really? I find that hard to believe.
If I was a teenage girl here on this couch with you, I wouldn’t be thinking
about studying.”
She smiled gently at him and turned
back to the book. Jimmy looked at her adoringly, noting the curves of her
lovely face, her beautiful, long black hair. He steeled up his courage and
moved a little closer to her on the couch, his heart beating rapidly. He
couldn’t believe his luck. His gorgeous math teacher was here with him alone,
and she seemed to be flirting with him. How many times had he played similar
scenes in his head during her class? He knew what he was about to do wasn’t
right, but he had to at least try.
“Gina?” he asked tentatively.
She looked up questioningly and Jimmy
leaned in to kiss her firmly on the lips. He felt her return it for a moment,
even starting to slip her tongue into his mouth, then she pulled away.
“Wait, no, Jimmy! I can’t, I - I’m
your teacher!” she said, flustered.
As Jimmy sat there mortified, he
heard something he’d been anxiously waiting for. The faint noise of a car door
shutting outside. Jimmy leapt to his feet and wiped the lipstick smears off his
face.
“What is it?” Gina asked, alarmed.
“My aunt is back,” he said and rushed
to the mirror in Ellen’s bathroom. After checking his face, he straightened his
clothes and hair, then opened the front door to greet Ellen. No one was there,
her driveway was empty. Linda Jessup, Ellen’s next door neighbor, was returning
home from a night at the bingo parlor. Looking at Ellen’s empty driveway, he
figured that’s what must have heard.
He closed the door. Just where was
Darien? And -
“Gina, where’s your car?” he asked,
turning to the living room.
Before she could answer, the phone
rang. Gina looked at it in fear. Jimmy walked over to answer it.
“Jimmy, wait,” she pleaded gently,
“Let the machine get it.”
“It might be my Aunt Ellen,” Jimmy
responded, not sure which ‘aunt’ he was referring to.
“It won’t be,” he thought he’d heard
Gina mutter as he picked up the receiver and answered.
“Jimmy? Hi, it’s Mrs. Talavera,” came
a familiar woman’s voice through the receiver, “Is Ellen there?”
Jimmy nearly dropped the phone,
unable to utter a reply. He turned around and looked at ‘Gina’, realizing
exactly who was standing there, who he’d just kissed.
Darien knew by the look on Jimmy’s
face that he’d been caught.
“Hello? Jimmy? Are you there?”
continued Gina’s – the real Gina’s – voice through the receiver.
“N-no, Mrs. Talavera,” Jimmy replied
in complete confusion, “She’s not. She was at a parent conference, and hasn’t
gotten home yet. I think she’s out running errands.”
“Okay. Well, it’s late, so she
doesn’t need to call back. I’ll just talk to her tomorrow. See you in class.
Hope you’re studying for the test!”
“Yes ma’am. Goodnight.”
Jimmy hung up the receiver, and
turned back to ‘Gina’. She pulled a cigarette from her purse and lit it.
“Let me guess. Gina,” she said in
Darien’s voice, smoke punctuating each syllable.
“Yeah,” Jimmy said in quiet
astonishment, studying the person before him, “My god, you can do her, too?”
Darien shrugged and took another drag
on the cigarette. “Well, I didn’t actually plan on it, but I went ahead and had
my cousin make a Gina mask along with my Ellen ones. I paid for this one out of
my own pocket and didn’t tell Ellen or Carl about it.”
Jimmy sat down on the couch next to
him.
“But why Gina?” he asked, “I
understand Ellen. There’s a reason for that.”
Darien took a drag on the cigarette.
“I don’t know,” he said, exhaling, “I
was just having a little fun, testing out my acting skills. Are you mad?”
Jimmy thought for a moment.
“I’m not sure. I mean, I should be
mad, but I’m not. You let me get a lot closer to Gina than I thought I ever
could. Now I sort of understand how Tony feels about you being Ellen.”
Darien nodded. “Well, to be
honest, I prefer being Ellen. I mean, being Gina is fun for a little while, but
I feel a lot more comfortable as Ellen.”
Jimmy looked at him quizzically.
“Okay. So what’d you do with
Ellen’s car?”
“It’s at a hotel a few blocks
from here. I didn’t really go out with Mary after the conference, she just went
home. I went to the hotel and rented a room so I could remove my Ellen disguise
and turn into Gina without you knowing. Then I took a cab over here. Gina
couldn’t show up in Ellen’s car, of course, her neighbors might see it. I’d
better go back to the hotel and get it.”
“Can I go with you?” Jimmy asked.
Darien blinked in surprise.
“I thought you had a test
tomorrow.”
“I know, but I’d kind of like to
hang out with ‘Gina’ a little longer before ‘Ellen’ comes back.”
A feigned pout appeared on
Darien’s false face.
“Why, don’t you want your Aunt
Ellen back, sweetie?” he asked, Ellen’s voice coming from Gina’s red lips.
Jimmy raised his hands
defensively. “No, no, of course I do! I just – I mean…”
“Oh, I’m just teasing,” Darien
said, still as Ellen, “Let’s go.”
In the cab to the hotel, Jimmy
couldn’t help but study Darien from the corner of his eye. He saw why he’d been
fooled. Darien’s Gina impersonation was almost as good as his Ellen.
Physically, he was her twin, but there were a few minor personality flaws he
noticed now that he knew ‘her’ real identity. But as far as the cabbie driving
them to the hotel was concerned, it was a good-looking, cradle-robbing
30-year-old Hispanic woman and a very lucky teenage kid he dropped off that
night.
Inside Darien’s rented room,
Jimmy made himself comfortable on the bed while Darien stood in front of the
bedroom’s full-length mirror, studying his reflection.
“You know, I don’t think I did a
bad job as Gina,” he said, “Considering I didn’t have any training. What do you
think?”
“You really had me fooled,” Jimmy
replied grudgingly with a gentle, self-deprecating smile. He was afraid to say
any more.
“I’m sorry about the charade,”
Darien said sincerely in his own voice, “I was just having a little fun. But I
did give you one huge clue, and you never even noticed.”
Jimmy looked at him curiously.
Darien held up his left hand, showing the copy of Ellen’s engagement ring he
wore. Jimmy couldn’t believe he’d missed it. But then again, he’d been so
turned on by ‘Gina’, he wasn’t surprised he’d overlooked such a small detail.
“I wasn’t about to buy a copy of
Gina’s wedding ring,” Darien continued, “The mask was expensive enough.”
Jimmy laughed quietly to himself.
“I’ve got a question,” he said,
“Where did you get those clothes? They couldn’t really be Gina’s.”
Darien/Gina’s expression turned a
little sad for a moment and he traced a finger over the fabric of his blouse.
“They’re my mom’s,” he replied, “She and Gina were pretty close in size. I wish
she was built more like Ellen, she had some really nice clothes I’d love to wear
to class.”
He sat down next to Jimmy on the
bed, kicked off his heels and began gently rubbing his feet.
“Mmm! I love the way these heels
make my legs look, but they were killing my feet!”
“Want me to rub them for you?”
Jimmy offered, “I used to do it for Jamie. Those drill team boots killed her
feet, and I’d make her feel better.”
Darien grinned, and swiveled
around on the bed, dropping his feet into Jimmy’s lap.
“Thanks, handsome!” he said
eagerly in Gina’s voice, “That’s so sweet!”
Jimmy began rubbing Darien’s
hosed feet. He enjoyed the silky feel under his hands and the silent hiss as
his fingers nimbly yet gently worked. Darien closed his eyes and lay back on
the bed, a blissful smile on the mask. As he moaned softly with pleasure, Jimmy
noticed that he sounded more like Ellen than Gina.
“Oh, Jimmy, that feels divine.
Please don’t stop,” came Ellen’s voice from Gina’s lips.
Jimmy didn’t say a word about
Darien’s shift in tone, but wondered about it to himself. Darien seemed to be
enjoying himself so much, he didn’t want to interrupt it. Jimmy quietly
continued with the massage for several more minutes while Darien writhed
slightly on the bed in subdued ecstasy. Watching ‘Gina’ in so much pleasure,
Jimmy felt himself getting very aroused.
He closed his eyes, and began to
pretend that this really was Gina. This was just a harmless foot massage after
all, he and Darien certainly weren’t going to take things as far as Darien and
Tony had. What would a little fantasy hurt?
As Jimmy continued to work, eyes
closed, he could hear Darien moaning in his aunt’s voice. He thought about
Ellen – Darien’s non-incestual version. The blonde hair, the lovely false green
eyes, that beautiful latex face. He got lost in Darien’s flawless impersonation
of a confident and sexy older woman. Jimmy found himself altering his fantasy,
wishing that ‘Ellen’ were here instead. His fingers worked more slowly but much
more methodically, rubbing the smooth, silk clad feet to the sensual rhythm of
Darien’s pleasured moaning. Darien responded, sounding louder and faster,
almost sexual. Jimmy felt even more turned on. He knew they had to stop before
they got carried away. He stood up and set Darien’s feet down gently.
“I’m sorry to stop, but do you
mind if I go to the bathroom? I ate a lot of pizza tonight. I’ve gotta, well,
you know,” he lied, gesturing to the bathroom.
Darien’s eyes opened in mild
disappointment, bringing him back to reality and he sat up slightly, propping
himself up on his elbows. The position pushed his false breasts forward
provocatively. Darien smiled, and replied in his own voice.
“Sure, go ahead. I’ll just start
changing back into Ellen while you’re in there and then we can get back home,
okay?”
Jimmy nodded as he ducked into
the bathroom, making sure to lock the door behind him. Darien laughed quietly
to himself. He knew exactly what Jimmy was going to do in there, and it had
nothing to do with pizza. He slid off the bed and closed the curtains,
preparing for another transformation. He walked to the mirror next to the
bathroom and carefully removed the long black wig, exposing the wig cap. He set
the wig aside, and then removed the Gina mask, puling down gently from the
hairline. He watched Gina’s face come away to reveal his own, a bizarre vision
of a half-woman/half-boy face. When the mask was completely removed, he tossed
it into a small nearby suitcase with a smile.
“Well, Gina, dear, it’s been fun,
but it’s my turn again,” Darien said in Ellen’s voice.
He beamed as he looked at the
nearby Ellen mask and wig. A thrill rushed through him at the thought of
becoming her once more. Being Gina was indeed fun, but Ellen was far more
interesting. He smoothed a thin layer of adhesive over his face, then slowly
pasted Ellen’s face back over his own, savoring the feeling. He glanced at the
bathroom door and smiled enviously. He’d been extremely turned on himself
during Jimmy’s foot massage, but couldn’t do anything about it, bound by a
padded girdle. He’d relieve himself at home, he told himself. As he fixed his
mascara, Jimmy exited the bathroom, looking somewhat embarrassed.
“Voila, I’m back!” Darien
announced triumphantly in Ellen’s voice. Jimmy smiled approvingly, and then
took a seat on the bed for the remainder of the transformation. Darien went
back to work, carefully repairing Ellen’s makeup. When he finished, he began
unbuttoning his blouse.
“Wh-what are you doing?” Jimmy
asked.
“I’m changing. What does it look
like?”
“I thought you were just going to
switch masks and wigs and then we’d take off.”
“Sweetie, Ellen can’t return home
in the clothes Gina left in. We have to think about these things to keep us all
out of trouble. But I’ll keep the breast forms on, though. Gina is a bit
larger, but I think that’ll be okay. I’ll just keep the top couple of buttons
on my blouse open. Under my coat, no one will see anything.”
Jimmy nodded, once again
impressed with his friend’s attention to the smallest detail. Darien unzipped
the gray skirt, sliding it down his legs. Jimmy looked away, just in case he
got aroused again, despite his trip to the bathroom. Darien placed all of
Gina’s clothes into the suitcase, and then removed his Ellen clothes from the
closet. When he’d finished dressing, he looked himself over, impressed with
“Ellen’s” improved bustline. He removed a cigarette from Ellen’s purse and lit
it.
